Great video, I agree even the zipties were not cut with flushcuts. I know right away when I work on something someone else work on. What kind of work, I can expect even from zipties. Great work well explained!

Hey Joe, was the ECU happy with the stock boost solenoid removed/unplugged? Been reading that many people keep it in to keep the ECU happy and just loop the vac line

On your S15, did you have to replace your factory fuel lines from pump to engine?
@JoeYates77
@JoeYates77 Ай бұрын
No need for replacing the stock metal hard lines with my setup. Alot of people stay with the stick metal hard lines. Unless you're going big power on e85 then you might want more flow from larger AN lines.

If your having trouble putting it back in, you can put the casing on a press and light enough pressure on other axis will open it enough to slide in the diff assembly

So from your wrench position it looked like tightening the bolt raised the beam. To me, it looked like you had the low(main)beams too high, annoyingly high, and high beams obviously needed to be higher. Thanks for the video. I just bought some replacement Nissan headlights for my 95 240SX (US SPEC) and it turns out they are silvia spec. Different high beam bulb, different adjustment mechanism and no built-in level like the US version. Oh well, it's hard to find stock stuff for one of these, ours is bone stock.

Honestly man, just my thoughts, I think if you change your oil filter regularly with engine oil and watch your air filter in terms of it being clean I don't think you'll have any issues with oil contamination, debris in the oil. I just make sure I change my engine oil and filter every couple of drift events.

Raceworks pusk lok hose man with aeroflow small hose clamps for extra security. I did make a small mistake and used a combo of slightly different size hose. AN6 & 5/16 I think, but all lines are tight and have hose clamps. Also a mix of EFI Solutions Push Lok e85 hose and the Raceworks

Thanks man. I used aeroflow bulk head fittings and had to modify them slightly for a firm fit. They seal each side with supplied orings. I also used loctite on the threads as well. You might have to remove the top hat again and inspect the top hat seal amfor the tank and also the sealing surfaces of the bulk head fittings.

Old vid, but the sump and oil pickup is a massive SR weak point. even the slightest dent to the pan can be catastrophic to oil feed in and can starve the engine. A massive reliability upgrade is for any 180,S13,14 to get the S15 oil pickup tube which has better flow, and an enlarged sump.

Hey brotha, so my headlights won’t work going up and down at all, the motors and wiring all show full voltage when I checked, but when I press the button, they do not activate, my dash light and rear taillight running lights do not work as well, however the headlights do turn on and work, I just have to manually put them up. I ordered a new turn signal switch assembly to see if this fixes anything. Any tips?

Joe did you have to tune the car or update anything on the ECU before you went for a drive in the end? or no because the fuel pump wasnt changed ? Im asking as im currently doing the exact same set up in the coming days and wondering if i would be able to drive to my tuner ? fantastic video btw i was iffy about trying to do this myself but this video has given me the confidence to give it a crack. Thanks!

@JoeYates77 9 ай бұрын
Hey Stefan, if it's just injectors you've replaced and you can change the %duty cycle and you've fitted larger injectors you should be able to drive to the tuners and baby it there, no boost ideally and it should be ok. You'll have to edit and change the injectors duty cycle so the injectors are spraying less time to match roughly the old amount of fuel injected with std injectors. You can easily work it out as a percentage. Hope this helps.

hi mate great vid, do you know if you need a tune when you install an aftermarket intake pipe or is it okay to run with no tune?
@JoeYates77
@JoeYates77 11 ай бұрын
No need for a tune mate, just stick with the same Air Flow Meter obviously. Exhaust, intake, interccoler, fuel pump and a touch more boost is ok. I ran 14psi peak and had no issues. I did run a touch higher fuel rail pressure tho when I did that, with a good Tomei FPR. To answer your question simply tho, answer is you don't need a tune for just an intake pipe on SR20

How'd that idle go? Have similar setup, found I needed to up the idle a bit for the AC to run without stalling lol
@JoeYates77
@JoeYates77 Жыл бұрын
It actually worked out to be ok, I mean sometimes it will idle a bit higher but usually sits below 1000rpm idling away. It seems to idle higher when warming up and with the air con on. I did have a flat spot at about 1700-1800rpm but doesn't seem to be a real issue. Cleaning the idle air control valve from build up of carbon and gunk seems to be a worthwhile procedure and setting the idle adjustment screw.
