I had a 76 Cobra II Mustang I spent a little money on it and it would haul ass, the car didn't weigh anything it was super light.

Proclaiming these as hated is more emotion than few could muster, most seem to disappoint in performance come from early attempts at emissions control. Ralph Nader's condemnation of the Corsair has been challenged with accounts it's performance wasn't atypical of other cars of the period. The pinto was much more alarming than hated for it's major safety issue. The Pacer and the Cruiser PT had particularly good first sales, so obviously there were fans. Why is there intercuting of cars not part of the tirade?

This video falls flat of a stellar performance. I think whoever created this should do a lot more investigation before they create another video. Most of these vehicles are not hated. Some may not be favorites but that's a far cry from being hated. In fact some of the vehicles listed such as the El Camino were very popular.

Agree, he totally missed the mark on the Boss 302, it wasn't meant to compete against the other big block cars, same reason the Camaro had a Dz302, they were built for Trans-am racing with a 5.0L limit.

The GMC EL CAMINO SP454, is actually a Sportsman Sprint, with a Pontiac 455 cubic inch motor.😮
@MuteMotors6 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing that information!
@alancolvincom5 күн бұрын
Sorry..that is totally bogus data. The Sprint had basically the same drivetrains as the 71 El Camino and were assembled on the same Chevelle assembly lines in several plants.

@@alancolvincom I've owned a '71 GMC Sportsman Sprint with a Pontiac 455 , and a '73 GMC Sportsman Sprint with a 455 as well. The '71 had the stock Trans Am Rally Wheels , silver and black with the beauty rings. Cowl induction hood. Fun cars to drive, plenty of power.

Under optimal conditions, the Charger RT can do 0-60 mph UNDER FIVE seconds ( vid stated under 6 seconds).My 2023 with less than 400 miles on it, and without trying, did a decent 5.1 .

Try fitting a wedding cake in one of your preferred 14:47 POS. The Pacer could do that and with the big six had good power.

My grandfather had a 71 454 SS He put a few dollars in back in the day. It shifted from 2nd to drive at 90 mph and would get sideways in the road. Pretty awesome to get to experience that in a street legal car

2:11: That 's a V8 not a four-banger. "Iron Duke" referred to the name of the 4-cyl engine, not the Camaro variant. 3:38: The Mustang Boss 302 was so powered to comply with racecar standards, which limited engine size to around 300 cid.

350. Challengers ran 340s. They made it so Ford couldn't run 351s. NASCAR did the same thing to Chrysler, when they limited to 355. By then Chrysler's were 360s, and couldn't be run. But then, NASCAR changed the rules every time Chevy wasn't winning.

I was going to say the same thing. The editor needs to do some homework because a challenger was being shown when talking about the charger. It's certainly more forgivable to show different versions of the charger than what you're specifically talking about, but they should know the difference between a charger and a challenger and they certainly should know the difference between a Ferrari engine and a Ford engine. I suppose somebody saw a horse on an engine and figured it was close enough.
