Because by nature he is very shy and reserved. He has to push himself out of his comfort zone as it is to interact with fans on that scale in CONs. Adding singing on top of that would be so much more difficult. Glad he did it eventually though. :)

Yeah - he can by shy and reserved. I can totally understand that. I still wish we had it from the beginning. He seemed to think he wasn't "good enough", even though people said he was. So, could have been the shyness being the stronger reason. I know that changes when he's with people he knows and friends. He overcame it, but every now and then I see the nerves kick in a bit. Maybe he's finally feeling comfortable with the Con environment.

Yeah, it took some time for him to get used to it. Even now, sometimes (very few times actually) he seems a little lost, but he's really come a long way. Glad that he's more or less out his shell, now. :D
