It amazes me what some one can do with 2 instruments. Some would say this setup has limitations. But an ultra creative person like you, could say its limitless. Just listened to it for the third time in a row. You are amazing

Hey man, love the sound! One question tho, how do you record the audio? I‘ve also started jamming recently but haven‘t yet found a way to record my music. An answer would be much appreciated :)
@DJCaciares3 ай бұрын
Thanks for listening!! Well, in my case, to capture the audio from the machines I use an audio interface (Focusrite Scarlet 4i4) to which I connect the audio outputs of the machines and in turn the interface connected to my computer. I hope the information is useful to you Greetings!

So do you just run a sync cable from out to in from the master to the slave and then from the slave to the next synth in the chain and so on? Then to record each instrument it goes 1/8” cable from headphone or line out to my audio interface’s instrument ins…which I currently have the Focusrite 18i8 and think I might be needing another interface to connect via ADAT to give myself more instrument inputs. …too bad I just sold an old working interface that had ADAT capability 🫠 Unless there’s another way around this…I would like to avoid using a mixer, just doesn’t seem to be appropriate for what I’m trying to do with my little in home studio setup in my room lol. Then do I use a midi thru box to sync all the synths together by midi since some only have one midi in or out? That was my plan to control my Korg Volca Fm and Volca Bass and possibly the Behringer RD9 or RD8 that I’m looking into paired with a Behringer TD3 as I like 909 and 303 sounds mixed together…just wish I could find and affordable 808 sounding machine that’s based on the Roland 808 and then all that that I hope to sync with and control with my new MicroKorg I just ordered because on top of wanting one forever, I found out you can use it as a midi controller as well, but I want to be sure this set up will work lol. I’m pretty sure I would just set each synth to a certain midi channel and then link the MicroKorg via MIDI to to the MIDI In of my DOREMIDI Thru box and then each other synth into each MIDI OUT…right? Because then what is the MIDI Thru for and what would I plug into it? I know it does something along the lines of copying the data that comes in and send it back out but I’ve also heard you can use it as an additional MIDI out, so what is the actual difference between MIDI thru and out and when would you use MIDI thru? Does this mean that i should be going MIDI from my MicroKorg into Thru and all my Volcas and other synths to the MIDI outs…..but then what would go into MIDI In! 😅😅😅

Hahaha uff quite a few doubts, let's see if I can help you, let's see: 1. As you see in the video, the Nubass is the master and through a Sync cable I control the RD-6, then with another Sync cable I go to the TD-3 and the TD-3 through MIDI out to MIDI In to the Volca FM . With this configuration you control the Master tempo through Sync only, in the case of the TD-3 with MIDI to the FM you control the Tempo and the Pitch, so the FM in this case is used as the Bass line of the Acid Riff of the TD -3. 2. For the audio connection, I have the Focusrite 4i4, and a 12-channel Behringer mixer, what do I do? On the focus I have two direct inputs and on the mixer using panning I have two more, making it 4 inputs, generally on the focus I connect what is synths and on the mixer I give separate treatment to the kick, I have the RD-6 and the RD -9 and in both I connect the other instruments per channel in the mixer. 3. The RD-6 9 and TD-3 have MIDI Thru which allows you to control more than one device. I also have the DOREMIDI, I use it with my Keystep to control 3 volcas at once (Bass, Keys and FM). In your case, with the Micro Korg and the Doremidi you can sequence 3 more machines at the same time. You must select the corresponding midi channels on each device. I hope this helps you and thanks for commenting, hugs!
