Actually a great feature. I wish this was documented better. Am I right, that the retries are ignored during the startup and it basically retries the health check, until it succeeds? What happens if the service crashes during startup? Will it be marked as unhealthy?
@JustinHammond
@JustinHammond 2 күн бұрын
So the start interval lets you set a separate interval to do health checks during startup. For instance, during startup I might want to run the health check every couple seconds until I know it’s healthy vs once it’s in a stable state, I might only want to check each minute. As to your question about crashing on startup, it’ll be marked as unhealthy once the number of retries have been exceeded
@ElCerdoBlanco
@ElCerdoBlanco 2 күн бұрын
@@JustinHammond ah, okay. So the `retries` parameter is reused? That means setting the retries to a low number and starting to check early and often will most probably lead to an unhealthy container. Doesn't this make docker kill and restart the container? This would be a big error source, if the startup significantly differs on different machines.
@JustinHammond
@JustinHammond Күн бұрын
@ElCerdoBlanco totally depends. For me, many of my containers start super fast. I use Traefik to route traffic to them but they aren’t discoverable until marked as healthy meaning in my earlier example that a one minute health check means that on deployment there would be one minute of downtime. With this new feature I can set it to check every second during the first 10 seconds so it’s almost seamless. It all depends on how you configure it

Problem is they say msrp is $1,800/$1,999 now after all the fees and dealer bullshit. More like $2,400. Sub $2,000 would be amazing but after fees it’s not worth it anymore. I got a used 2022 for $1700. Totally worth that amount

Just jump in! Checkout tutorials and guides online and start building something. Start small and find things you actually care about so it stays interesting and not monotonous. Save it all to a portfolio (GitHub) and by the time you’re done with school you should have enough projects to showcase to land a job!

Because I live in a small city surrounded by more rural stuff between other towns, there is always a way to get anywhere and stay on sub 50 mph roads. That's why I chose the Navi. So economical, cheap to maintain, cheap to insure ($110.....PER YEAR!!), fun to drive, absolutely the perception of 'speed' without real 'speed', so I stay out of trouble. I love how they set this thing up to really be damn punchy from 0-30, so you never feel overwhelmed starting out around traffic. The onboard storage is fantastic. You see this bike, and at first you scoff at it.....then you realize that there is like one negative review out of 100 on KZfaq, or online, and even the negative review isn't really 'bad'. There is a reason for that. The shocking thing for me too is the number of compliments and questions I get. I live in a county full of compensators. Nothing but big loud cruisers or overtuned sport bikes. You simply don't see Navis driving around at all. So much so that, while other Honda dealerships have a waiting list, ours still has 2023s with 2025s about to come out, and I'm the only local person to buy one in well over a year, possibly longer. They couldn't remember, LOL!. Mine, reflected in a window is literally the only one I've seen moving down one of the streets here. So people are just totally curious. Then after they spend a minute talking to me about it, they want one, LOL!

I wanna say I got mine for $2700 OTD. The speed will depend on a lot of conditions. I live in a high altitude area which the carb didn’t love so best I got was 50mph down a hill.
