@@harpoon_bakery162 mine is the same size. The prices are ridiculous. We also have one that’s twice as long and a tub that needs to be done. I think I’ll hire someone refinish them all . Too many to do myself and have them all come out as they should.

@@Mary-671 wow, yep, it's a lot to take on, but I'm probably going to give it a go. other bathroom is longer and tub as well so lot to think about. I'll start with this smaller one 55x22 (the sink is the shape of a clamshell with 2 soap dish ledges inside the sink (making it even harder for good coverage). if you end up doing it, let us know out here in comment land how it went!!! Mine is yellow-ish cultured marble with a smooth real wood maple vanity cabinet, that too is a hard decision but it will be blue , gray , or white to meet the demands of the current color market-place trends / fad. Thanks for showing. I have a question for you. Would one not achieve a better finish if all of the figures were removed? I found that when one has to change the fixtures sometimes you are left with the footprint of the old fittings and it looks really crappy. Removing the fittings gives the advantage of having a clean base.

If you didn’t move the product to the middle, would it eventually harden ?
@thebathman55743 жыл бұрын
Yes it would definitely harden. Although lumps in the bottom don't look so good. we are going to do an update on the new ekopel coating shortly the new hardner is the change but very similar. Keeping in mind it is a resin not a paint, so it will harden even 2 inches deep and even under water as we discovered when too much product goes down the drain and fills the s bend. but for a durable finish 5mm is the thickest you want to fill.

Hi,if there is shallow cracks on stone resin tray or baths ,is it necessary to fill them ,or does this flow in and fill and level up with out cracking, is it suitable for acrylic baths, does it flex a little also. If applied to thick is it a cosmetic problem only, but could add to wear ability. How long has it been out there in the field, any problem feed backs, can a run be easily wet and dried out, and buffed and polished if required, thanks for the good examples .
@thebathman55743 жыл бұрын
If the cracks are on the horizontal they will fill out for sure but on the vertical it will vary. The product has good flexibility but the thicker obviously a lot less. I have found that runs can be sanded out and polished with a good cutting compound. What we have found is that the most important thing is mixing the 2 parts of resin very thoroughly., This will prevent discolouration. Also where the product is too thick it will yellow. This product has been around for over 10 years but in Australia since 2016 And so far we have had no major complications.
