They were married when they were making love and celebrating this union. Yes it was very mean not to take her hand and he knew if he kissed her she was a marked women. I guess he just couldn't help himself and his love for her was overwhelming that maybe he didn't realize how strong.

They had a lot of chemistry but even though he was handsome he wasn't a good man. He was rather cruel and obsessive. The series is sad and very haunting but so good at the same time. You feel sorry for her character but not for his though.

Can you imagine how wonderful it would have been to see them marry to preserve her reputation after the bee sting and her subsequent request to defer the wedding night? Such scenes had me wishing they'd been more true to the novel. We'd have seen their love develop within the story...

Nah. Another forced marriage would have been dreadful. Seeing two people finally giving in to their overwhelming love for each other was a far more satisfying story to watch-- especially two incredibly strong-willed characters. I also much preferred these versions of Anthony and Kate to their book versions, even though I enjoyed those versions as well. I enjoyed them in the book, while I adore them in the series.
