My Dad's dad was from Cornwall, and it's my all time favourite accent. I grew up on a heavy diet of Britcoms and other British shows, and so, aside from one or two super strong accents, or maybe they're more like dialects, like the one of Tom Thomson in Sister Boniface Mysteries, I 'm pretty good at understanding almost anyone from England, including the Cockney rhyming speech. That's a lot of fun to listen to. This is one of my absolute favourite accents of all time, probably because some of my UK relatives speak it. I could listen to it all day. As a Canadian from BC, my Rs are more like his, but my Is are more like hers. My INGs differ, depending on my mood and how tired I am, as well as to whom I'm talking. My Ts at the end are somewhere in the middle of the two. It's so interesting to hear two different accents compared like this. Thanks for it!

Really great material. Really natural and interesting to hear. And I try to read with you simultanously so that I practice. Give me the time to prepare so show me the subtitles BEFORE starting reading the sentance and dont hide the subtitles to show some movie. Alsho show next and previous sentences.

Speak! 🥶 This is the toughest part of the language learning process... But what's the point of speaking? Just one: to speak. How difficult it's for me to understand this and get out of my comfort zone 🥵

In my opinion, talking slowly can help you make correct sentences because it gives you more time to think about what words you need to use. On the other hand, I still chicken out of asking questions when I talk to a native English speaker, but I'm striving to ask them questions.
