We need to stop letting other muaphukkas tell us who we are and what we can and can’t do… maybe the black folks he knew or saw couldn’t organize but there are in fact plenty black folks who can and have and there are examples staring you in the face of you didn’t let muaphukkas saying silly shit like this convince you otherwise.

That’s why corporate America pushes black culture so much. Black people are highly individualistic. That’s what consumer capitalism wants from all of us-to live in MeWorld™️ so as to be completely atomized, independent and averse to community. An American consumer should be capable of going through their entire day not needing help from any friends or family, so they can replace those people in their lives with consumer goods and services

In my shallow opinion, the reason behind the lack of unity in the Black community is the absence of a strong sense of nationalism. Although Black Americans have been in the country for hundreds of years, they may not have the deep-rooted connections that some Asian or Italian communities do. These communities often have a strong sense of identity linked to their ancestral homelands, with detailed knowledge of where their relatives live back home. Like you can't be made unless the organization knows where your grandma or even your third cousins live. To compensate for this, Black people often use the concept of the 'hood' as an alternative. However, this isn't as solid or permanent as a country. Neighborhoods can be redeveloped or demolished at any time. This is why Wakanda from Black Panther holds a special place in the hearts of many Black people.

These comments in my opinion are seriously short-sighted. This is so old to me. What reason would we have to stay or stick together? What makes cultures stick together? Having their own language, having their own religion, having their own land, knowing their heritage and history,. That is what makes you stick together. We have none of these building blocks. the Europeans saw fit to destroy that and anytime we did try to get united they killed us, (Tulsa, black panthers, rosewood) just to name a few. or gave black women jobs and welfare to separate them from us. So where is all the surprise that Black people don’t stick together. So when you’re ready to address the fact that we don’t even have a language, then you can start pointing fingers at Black people and why you have this ridiculous notion that just by being born we should stick together. We should but there’s nothing really backing that assessment.
