I went on a date with this man couple days ago. I only felt like he was a good friend, but I just didn’t felt connected to him. I told him that I how I felt, and he got possessive with me . And tells me that I’m not worth nothing not even the ice cream cone he bought me . Wow, that just shows that he had no respect for me .😮

Saw this woman had pickleball as an interest so I invited her to play and she said she was interested in learning so didn't actually play, but would love to learn. I booked and paid for the court, let her use one of my paddles, and spent the hour showing her the rules while we were hitting and we also had the typical 1st date conversation, talking about jobs, family, where we're from, etc. I thought I was relaxed and tried to make fun comments and she was laughing at them. At the end she said she was excited to play again and learn more when she got back from a trip. I said there are a lot of fun things I like besides pickleball we could do too. Then after a month she sends me a "didn't feel the connection she was looking for" message and that she had a lot of fun and I'm a great guy and wished me good luck with pickleball. In the past 5 years or so I've gotten probably 20 or 30 variations of the same message (wonderful time, you're a fantastic, great guy, but no romantic connection). What can I do differently? Do I need to try to hold her hand or do something physical on the first date? I prefer to wait until the 2nd, but what I'm doing isn't working and I am so frustrated

Why should you not give up? Dating sites people use as hook up sites. They are very familier with calling you babe before they have gotton to know you. I don't know where to look anymore. My friend had a fiance he loved, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder towards the end of his life, the relationship ending was his last straw. Before she'd fully moved out he just walked his dog around the block came back inside then shot himself. I think if people both men and women want to be responsible, we should stop raising the future to expect love, we should stop telling the future that love is the thing their life should revolve around. When you hear nothing but that your whole life and your love just walks out ending it is a rational choice because it really is the end of the world for a person in that position. Not everyone is the same. The adult thing to do is explain youd appreciate you wouldn't want them dying, and then for yourself remember it's their right to kill themselves. You were enough, they weren't and if that wasn't true youd still be there. So have some sympathy for someone not wanting to keep living as something not good enough for them its cruel. If anyone has ever had a human right the right to die would have to be one of the first. Tell them youd personally prefer them not to do that and leave it alone. Calling the police or medical is not something that comes without risk.

As for me, I haven't dated anybody for the past five years and every time I see couples flaunting their mushy PDA in front of me, I quickly make a beeline the other direction and sometimes when I'm doing my music performances and couples are doing their lovey-dovey thing, I play my covers of "Eve Of Destruction" and "I Am A Rock", as well as some of my no-nonsense blues originals, such as "Is There Really Somebody For Everybody?" and "Worn-Out Clichés", as well as songs about psychedelic trips and even some non-romantic novelty covers, including "They're Coming To Take Me Away...HA HA!, and "Snoopy vs The Red Baron". And so, if nobody's willing to take a real interest in me or let alone, go out of the way to line me up with a cute available honey, then I'll just simply "jump ship", and "trip out", and never play any more (romantic) love songs again!

I feel bad, I’m going through this now. We exchanged some words, mine were the most hurtful.he kept picking at me for weeks and months and he finally pushed the right button. I’ve said before I still have some healing to do, I knew he was toxic , he showed plenty of red flags that I ignored. I’m hurt that I let someone trigger me to the point I lost control! I agree with your advice, except for the idea that it’s “crossing a boundary” if you’re checking your spouse’s phone. I believe a married couple should have full access to each others devices, social media accounts, emails, etc….because really, there should be nothing to hide, ideally. If I want to check my husband’s accounts, and he draws away from me as a result of that, then maybe he has something he’s hiding from me?

She was out of a relationship a total of 6 months for a 2 year relationship. That really sucked dating's is tough. You put all this time and effort and you get let down now.
