I'm just now starting my excavation business but have previous experience in my business from before in lawncare and small demolition company i had before moving out the US some years ago, now im back and looking into getting into excavation because i would love to own a skid steer and excavator but anyway i have experience in pricing out services so for this jon you did should of been atleast $5,000 because you had to do alot of driving and alot of obtaining things just for this one job, you could of charged $5k and had all your gas and eveeything taken care of by the customer, you should never do things out your own pocket when doing these jobs becauae then youd put yourself in a position to get the ugly stick at the end of the day so becareful and make sure you charge the customer and make your purchases from that for that particular job, unless you have the equipment if not then thats a tax to the bill

Sup big dog- how are you liking the iron bull? Currently running with a 24' deckover which I frankly hate loading an excavator on, and I need to replace my dump... just picked up an e35 and debating if I'm going to go with a dump trailer or a tilt deck(maybe both) to transport the machine. Primary concerns are loading it on ramps in slick conditions(I'm up in NY so snow/ice is a factor) and tie down points in the dump. Appreciate your input!

Will 1st off a good video but a skidteer is not excavator nor is excavator a Skidteer. IIRC JD and Case has a combo Excavator-Skidsteer thing or whatcha call it. You can also buy excavator booms for a skideteer. Also on enclosed cabs, great for when battling the weather or angry colony of bees/hornets. But with glass, it's easy to damage and expensive to replace. So if you push down trees you have to be very careful that you do not throw up rocks or get impaled on a branch or have a branch slap back. On skidesteer, you have eXtend tracks that can squeeze thru subdivision small lots or thru a gate one is not always the best. Great for a installer that does irrigations lines. So depending on your business and what you want to target, you should pick the best item. A CAT325 would be great for demolishing but a CAT301.8 my be better in smaller land jobs easier to transport cost less, use less fuel, easier to work on. @07:24 And yes your being generous 5mph, I can only dream of that in my Excavtor 😆 maybe more like 2-3.4mph in the 2nd speed.

I was gonna say airbags but I see you know that now…but will add…until you get a bigger bucket, I would have raked his dirt, just to smooth it out and blend it in a bit, plus it would hide the small remnants of old concrete dust. Don’t forget to sweep that street off and place cones and signs out when on roadways. God Bless you and your business! 🙏

Hey Davis! Found your videos a few days ago looking at skid steer businesses. I have a real similar background to you as far as business. Was cutting grass for a few years, bought and f350, then financed a dump trailer and yesterday I just financed a 2024 next Gen CAT compact track loader, its the new 255 model 74hp. Anyway I love all the toys and passionate about being outside working and business. Love your story man and how you were a college athlete and hustling. I will be creating youtube content very doing similar to what you are doing, motivating other people to get out and do their own hustle. Thanks for sharing business info and numbers on your jobs it gave me a good idea of how I need to set base prices

When you say you're grinding the rust, I hope you use a wire wheel on your grinder? That works way better than a grinding wheel. The wire wheel covers more surface area and does less damage.

Bro please don't be one of those guys that just click baits videos. You will lose all your loyal subs that way. You lost money on that flip and that's okay. Not every flip will be a win, but telling people you made money on that side by side is just wrong

Why the 2k profit clickbait? I think money was lost on this deal, didn’t account for the 45 minute drive each way plus the drive and time to get the paint and plastic restorer, and not including any of your time into the “restoration”. I am a fan of your videos but some of the clickbait is unnecessary. Anyhow, no hate man keep up the work!
@EntreprenuerDavis10 күн бұрын
Yeah your right but if you want to count the revenue of it all it was $2700 but only about $700 in profit tho and the second deal I was just trying to get rid of it I wanted to get another flip didn’t feel like sitting on it honestly just wanted my original investment back
