Ive tried raw puerh twice now, i think its gross lol maybe its just me. I thought i may have just grabbed some bs the 1st time but it was from mei leaf and i love thier teas. 2nd time was da qing gushu from yunnan sourcing in which i also love thier teas, so its a no for me. I was under the impression it was super healthy for you. I'm looking forward to trying ripe cuz i was a bit salty about the raw lol tasted like what id imagine dusty antique furniture would taste like if you licked the armrest lmao.

Hi tea guru, thanks for your introduction on ‘sina’i and your great oud! I recently found another word called ‘tobi’i’ that Indonesian are using for agarwood, do you know what this means?

Interesting video. I had a very bitter Sheng cake which I hated. So I put it in paper bunged it in a cupboard pre covid. Found it again last week and thought oh well I remember it I will give it a taste. Blimey the bitterness had dramatically reduced into a very pleasant tea that opened up some nice flavours. I was shocked but in a good way 😅

Personally since I have been drinking Sheng tea my alcohol consumption has radically reduced and my diabetes has massively improved. Rather than finding it energising I find it relaxing so my anxiety and depression have decreased significantly. Maybe we should view it as a medicine, that may have different impacts on different people . I have always been a night owl so no change there lol. For me in general it has been very positive.

Oh yeah,it’s a real thing,it creates a feeling very unlike a mere coffee buzz or something. It is sort of a euphoria,like pleasant positive thoughts,and a certain type of focus,hard to explain. However,I did overdo it once,on an empty stomach,and the result was what I can only describe as a mild panic attack!! So beware! Eat a sandwich first🤣

evidence based western medicine absolutely is concerned with prevention. but all the products claiming to "detoxify" the body other than your liver and kidneys are bogus, they don't stand up to evidence based science. They may be great for spiritual ailments, but for actually removing physical toxic substances from the body, the best way to do that is have a liver and kidneys

Ah,ha! ‘Tea Muggles!’ No don’t say that🤣 The culture of tea is one of the most screwball things ever. Obviously,in the far east,a good tea was appreciated with reverence. But the west,they discovered this new commodity,and proceeded to buy anything and everything,and the cheaper they got it,the richer they became,the merchants. They loaded the ships,bound for England,the giant loads of tea were exposed to sea air,changes in humidity,for months on their journey. What arrived in England in the early days was really bad tea,on every possible level. So they added cream and sugar to offset the badness. To this day,British tea is famous,and it has cream or milk and sugar. Doesn’t have to,it’s just a spillover from 18th century gold rush of crappy tea. There is good tea in London,I have had it,I have also had the politely adulterated milky sugar stuff. There’s a place in Greenwich,right next to ‘the sail loft’ . They have phenomenal tea cakes. Been there 2 years in a row,soo good. I purchased a Shou Mei,it is shocking
@GreenTeaGuru
@GreenTeaGuru 6 ай бұрын
That’s interesting, tbf chopped up tea fannings kinda needs milk to dull the astringency. I do like the British style ‘cuppa’, it has its place but sad that it has replaced ‘good’ tea 😢. Back in the glory days it was loose leaf and yeah, it makes sense that it probably didn’t taste great after 9 months at sea 😆

But truly they are not from the same source. So naturally some trees are more viscous than others. I have a 20 year old combodian that is still runny the day I bought it. Its great quality just not viscous. Not sure how your getting these theories. Are you new to oud? Seems like your first video on oud was just 3 years ago.

Hello, I know this video was posted 3 years ago but, I have a 30inch by 12inch agarwood that my father got in Vietnam or there abouts we had in the family it has a very nice smell, we never burnt it or used it as incense, but my dad posted with a pedestal and as an art object. I wanted to share with you pictures of it, He bought it in 1950s prior to Vietnam war. I watch many of your videos and English speaker. Wanted to get your take on it.

what is the taste of sandalwood when chewed ? if we put sandalwood on hot water for 20 min , does it loss its scent ? because mine does what other ways to spot if sandalwood is original thanks
@GreenTeaGuru
@GreenTeaGuru Жыл бұрын
Hi sorry I haven’t done a test like that before. I also haven’t tried chewing it. Fake sandalwood will either have no scent or will be perfumed although the second I’ve never found. Generally you’ll probably only find fake sandalwood in tourist spots where locals will claim their beads are sandalwood. A simple sniff will tell. I hope this helps
