I'm an RC pilot to fly everything fixed wing Rotary and I I'm so disappointed Because some of the pilots here don't know the basic skills to even Land a airplane…These poor beautiful aircraft they're just being tortured. Yes some of the landings and flying is quite well their normal but some of these guys oh my God those poor airplanes

May I ask what is the length of the wings and fuselage and tail section Is there any way to have a steerable tail wheel ? Any Information I get would be Appreciated very much I love this plane its just what I have been looking for, for a few years now I really want to build one , and can you use a arrow shaft for support of the thin foam down the body ? Thank you Sir I really hope to hear back from you ....
@dcimagesaz8 күн бұрын
I don’t know the measurements of the plane. Yes you could add a steerable tail wheel. That would help in the wind. The wingtips are cut down he took out some dihedral. He removed the incidence. The vertical stab and rudder is own design. I have not seen Dave in 10 years I don’t have any plans . Sorry

I am sorry, one my question: What are pilots aeromodeling must be certification from federation or regulator USA?
@dcimagesaz12 күн бұрын
We need to have our AMA registration to fly. Also , the pilots do not have to have remote ID because the are flying at an approved AMA flying field from the FAA. The guys flying the turbine jets need a waiver to fly. Ya it’s getting more complicated. My opinion it’s better to join a club.

I've only been to a few of these. But I really appreciate the amount of detail That some of them put into their planes. When there just sitting on the ramp waiting their turn. Just for a little extra something. I would like to see a couple of maintenance guys. Poised like they working on something. Or maybe hooking up the start cart.

The F-16 turbine is by Skymaster. It’s 1/5 scale around 68 pounds 1:1 thrust ratio. I would go on the Skymaster website.

We’ve all noticed the obvious. Some people spend a lot of time building Some people spend that same time instead of building …flying. There certainly is a reverse ( did I say that right) correlation between time spent building and flight ability.
@jvaubry2 ай бұрын
Why did Tim get 2nd? His plane was more true to scale than the 1st place winner’s PT 19, and Tim flew his aircraft in a more scale like maneuvers, including the landing, whereas the 1st place winner bounced the aircraft on the landing like a novice flyer. If a real pilot trainee landed the pt 19 the way the 1st place winner did, he would have washed out of the program. Just saying!

@timmeh2982 ай бұрын
The blue one is a Grumman F9F-8 Cougar, and it is painted in the US Navy Blue Angels colors. The Blues flew the Cougar from Winter 1954/1955 to the middle of their season in 1957, at which point they switched to the Grumman F11F-1 Tiger. The second one if also an F9F-8 Cougar, and it is painted as a USN training aircraft that was assigned to a Naval Air Reserve Training Unit in Los Alamitos, California sometime in the 1950's/60's

That C208B Grand Caravan!!! I Not sure why so many ARF's were featured in a scale comp, most were very much stand-off scale - albeit some impressive machines its not exactly scale, I just think considering the months even years that we scale officionados spend on building, finishing and detailing accurate scale models, something off the shelf that is stand-off scale should not be considered - again gorgeous airplanes just not for scale.
@boommasterkc-135____82 ай бұрын
Agreed. I’m not a scale builder by any means but I’ve seen the work and research in to stitching patterns, screw heads, exhaust and the countless other details involved. I’m not mad at the kits but, they’re not in the same arena. The other aspect is scale flying needs to be a focused element.
