Quick question for you: Do you know if there are financing options available for these (i.e. Affirm)? I know there’s a required down payment of 500 euro and then the remainder has to be paid to receive the velomobile. If someone couldn’t afford it outright, does it have to end up being a personal loan situation with the bank, I’m assuming? For further context: I’m US-based. Thanks!

@@HeibesHealth $1000 down payment actually. I don’t offer financing. First because companies that will finance Velomobiles are few and far between, and second because the ones that do are a really big ripoff and hard to work with. Best option is to go through your bank or pay the extra 1.5% processing fee and use a credit card.

Not to make excuses for the car driver, but I figured out why he didn’t see you. You were tracking in his blind spot behind the “A column” of his car. I watched it again, and I’m convinced of this. More than likely he saw the rider behind you, that’s why he hurried across the road, to get out of their way. I used to get frustrated at drivers when I would walk up to the crosswalk from the driver’s side of an approaching vehicle. They wouldn’t stop…until I stopped. It annoyed me. This happened often. I thought that all these drivers couldn’t be this stupid, right? Until I actually did it myself while driving. It was the A column (the column between the windshield and the side window) that completely hid the pedestrian from view. A good thing to keep in mind for drivers and riders alike. Stay safe everyone!
@mnveloguy
@mnveloguy 18 күн бұрын
@@guidos.6043 sorry, but the A column was not the problem. The driver was distracted and lost. He was focused on his GPS and completely missed two clearly posted stop signs. He never saw the rider behind me either because he wasn’t looking. Drivers can easily look around an A column. They know very well where the blind spots are. All they have to do is move their head a bit to the side to look around it. It’s a poor excuse and one that can be easily worked around and completely irrelevant to this video.

Hi Ben! You do a great job, that's for sure! Thanks for your videos! It is interesting to see here, what difference the Racing Hood does! I did a 1050 km ride through Transilvania and Hungary and it was definetely to hot with the Racing Hood. When I did some comparison tests at this hot period, I made the experience that I have the same speed with the Combo Lid compared to the Racing Hood! But I assume that this is the case, because inside this hot bike you don't have that much energy. So it really depends how hot it is or what kind of human you are, when looking at the Racing Hood! @@rawfuturetv yes. In the heat I’m not sure you would get the benefit of the race hood. The airflow is ok, but not quite enough when it is really hot.
