I have Gyeon Wet Coat on the way. You'll see in my other post I have Car Pro Hydr02 experience. My best experience comes from washing with an Si02 wash and then applying a spray Si02 coating on top and wiping it in. The car is extra shiny and so easy to clean this way.

Heres a tip for you all - Dont drop the bottle, have it land on your foot and roll down the driveway, losing half the damn product ! Seriously, the new style trigger sprayer does not screw on tight, or very far. I was left holding the trigger and saying goodbye to about $10 before i caught up with it ! :) Im talking about the smaller bottle obviously - Harper is buying bulk and using his own spray bottle ! EDIT: Gyeon got wind of my issue and replaced the bottle ! Now thats a company i can and will support !

For the second method, does Wet Coat ruin the wash mitt? Can you still use the wash mitt for washing or does it need to be dedicated only that use now?
@HarpersCarDetailing15 күн бұрын
No issues, but might be worth getting a dedicated mitt. Also, thoroughly rinse it after if you are going to wash the mitt with other towels

I just use a disposable paper Scott Towel "The quicker picker upper". I haven't used this product yet, but I have used lots of Car Pro Hydr02 and wiping gives you better coverage. With the spray method, it works better if you spray the water from the bottom up in horizontal passes as the water runs down and seems to dilute the product a bit when you go top to bottom.

What did you use for the tail rotor ? because there is a lot of oil residue on it
@HarpersCarDetailing16 күн бұрын
I haven’t touched the rotors as agreed with my client (they terrify me) but I would use either Bilt Hamber Surfex or any tar and glue remover

Why don't you use a leaf blow drier to dry the car?

Hi thanks for the advice but make panel wipe should I use? Gav
@HarpersCarDetailing23 күн бұрын
With is being a ceramic spray/quick Detailer I honestly wouldn’t worry about doing this step. It will make a marginal difference. I use 99% IPA diluted to 50% with water

Hi just a quick question I have a four month old 2024 Astra and I'm wanting to give it it's first wash and polish after the p.d.i clean before I took ownership of the car . And I was wondering if after I've washed it and polished the car would it OK to use Autoglyms ceramic spray on top of the polish, plus is something I must put on before the ceramic spray? Gav.
@HarpersCarDetailing23 күн бұрын
Hi Gavin, I imagine it would be fine to do. It would probably be best to wipe the car with a panel prep beforehand so the spray wax adherers to the paint instead of sitting on the polish. If it was a true ceramic coating you have to wipe it down with an panel prep/alcohol, but you will probably be fine with this spray sealant

@@HarpersCarDetailing Yes, it's a fact sir. I remember my old E36 328i with BBS split rims, man those things were horrible to clean. I am a serial BMW owner so I know your pain. Fortunately my last two cars an M140i and my current car, an OG M2, both have quite nice standard wheels which are actually pretty easy to clean.

Hi. First time watcher. Beautiful car - which pretty much looks good in any color. Curious why you referred to Touchless as an APC? Is it because of its high alkalinity? I’m used to talking about Touchless as a pre-contact wash soap.

Hey man, I only had a little bit left which is why I had it in the pump sprayer. I would usually use it in the foam lance to. The new formula is 10.5 ph down from 12 but when diluted it is going to be close to neutral. It’s a brilliant cleaner and always safe 👌🏼
