Listening from Australia 🇦🇺. Good expository preaching thanks. Do you think Paul wrote Hebrews? Didn't Luther think it was Apollo's and others maybe Barnabas. We prayed for Trump, thanking God for sparing his life, and for the other families that were involved at our church. Reformed Baptist. It must be traumatic for you in America to be in a missed it all.

Yes, Pastor Thomassian mentioned at the beginning of the series on Hebrews that there are good reasons to believe Paul is the writer of Hebrews.

More prot lies. The Catholic Church has taught and believed for 2,000 years that Christ’s once and for all sacrifice is complete and all sufficient. Purgatory doesn’t in any way negate that belief. Learn something before spouting off.
@FaithFPCАй бұрын
Purgatory isn't Scriptural or logical. The Catholic Church denies the imputation of Christ's righteousness, denies the suffering of Christ as sufficient to make full atonement, and denies justification by faith alone. Since Christ suffered for sins to justify sinners, there is no rationale behind additional purging.
@TheBadTradАй бұрын
@@FaithFPC Scripture is very clear when it says, “But nothing unclean shall enter heaven” (Rev. 21:27). Hab. 1:13 says, God is “of purer eyes than to behold evil and cannot look on wrong…” How many people will be perfectly sanctified when they die?
@TheBadTradАй бұрын
@@FaithFPC You may want to read I Corinthians 3:11-15, which is the most explicit reference to Purgatory in Scripture: “For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble-each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.” That’s Purgatory.
@TheBadTradАй бұрын
@@FaithFPC And yeah-we absolutely deny the man-made and unbiblical doctrine of faith alone. It’s a prot invention from only 500 years ago and wasn’t ever taught or believed for the first 1500 years of Christianity.

Utmost gratitude for the preaching at Faith FPC. Thank You Lord for this sermon, for Pastor Armen's faithful preaching, generous charity of Faith FPC. LORD cause me to extend fellowship to those who may be alone in their circumstances.

We would not have much of a New Testament if the Church always got things right. It is a challenge to maintain and sweeten the fellowship of saints. May the Lord revive His people and fill hearts with love produced by the Spirit.

Good preaching. However, the claim that St Patrick was not Catholic is, frankly, asinine. If you could point me to some resources that support your claim, I would like to examine them.
@FaithFPC2 ай бұрын
It would be asinine to suggest the modern Roman Catholic Church reflects the church as it was in the days of the Church Fathers (like the era in which Patrick lived). Luther believed the modern iteration of the RCC began with Pope Gregory I, around 590 AD. Aside from that, the point was more about doctrine and how a sinner is justified.

Blasphemy, our bodies are his temple. We are a part of him but we can only receive his blessing when we aline. Satan does care to destroy that connection because he tried to temp Jesus. If hearing was the answer then why do the sinners that attend church dont change? The word only works when acted upon thus the 10 commandments. We must live it.

We should win our battles by bringing every thought to the submission to Christ, the Word, and exalting unity, brotherhood and love for each other. Love does not always bring unity. This is why we need to bear each other's burdens in prayer and asking God to bring the truth to us as revelation and deep knowledge. Amen
