Looks like very bad design. Shame on JD design team.... the masters of quick-connect attachments made service a nightmare.

I’m trying to figure out why my ac works amazing till about 3am. Then it gets warm but the coil is not frozen over. The unit can handle super hot day time weather but seems to struggle late at night.

The coils are probably freezing over at night. Shut it off for about 5mins and turn it back on for a test.

Late to the Game here, I just replaced my head gasket on my e110 due to burning oil at 100 hours. The spec I looked up said torque to 140 inch lbs which I did and my motor still burns oil. Now I’m wondering if I way undertightend my head bolts I have the E110 with the 19 hp b&s engine

I did the headlight clear covers, got them all new looking, and took them off to wipe clean the other side of those. Then i spray foamed the inside light housing cleaned inside of that. Put the covers back on and nice new look and brighter output of light.

What does it mean when the shaft coming out of the engine doesn't have enough power to push the arm up? I removed the springs that were attached to the arm and it has barely enough power to move the arm up.
@WeekendHobbyMechanic
@WeekendHobbyMechanic 7 күн бұрын
The governor arm should be free to move when the engine is not running. When the engine is running the arm should move up. If you push the arm down the motor should increase in rpm.

Hi, I have the same lawn mower and I purchased the same Non-Contact RPM Meter you used in your video. My readings are in the tens of thousands! 22,000 rpms. Lord I wish I could get a Briggs and Stratton engine to run at 22,000 rpms! Curious what I'm doing wrong. The meter came with reflective tape and I cut about a 1" piece and placed it towards the outer portion of the rotating "fan" at the top of the motor. Same place you took your measurement. Any suggestions on how to get a more accurate reading? thanks
@WeekendHobbyMechanic

Weird, mine works great. Try a smaller strip of reflective tape. If that doesn’t work, return it for a refund.

My 2009 craftsman has never ran right from day 1. So i take the carb apart and the dummies at the factory put 1 of the main jets in the needles seat spot. I ran that mower for 100 hours before I found this crap. Problem #2 is the bs CA emissions fuel shutoff solenoid. I just figured it out too day!!!! That from day 1 i had to used a horse syringe and would pump air into the fuel inlet of the carb popping the solenoid open. I thought it was the a needle and seat problem. No its the stupid bs electrical sh!t added to a good carb making it a pile of sh!t. THANK YOU CALIFORNIAN EPA DIPSH!T CITY-IDOITS. I put the 1-lb'ers in the freezer and fill without any bleeding. I get a reliable and safe 10-14 oz. fill in one shot which is fine for me. You don't need to fill it all the way because bleeding may cause leaks. You're probably ok doing it your way but I want a higher level of safety. I throw them away after 4-5 refills too. Cheers and be safe

I have a 1980 Honda XR 500 with a brake switch. I added a 6V LED headlight bulb and it worked for a while and then blew. It also blew my taillight running light. The brake light still worked. So I replaced my headlight with the stock unit and replaced my brake light with a new bulb. Everything works fine except now, when I brake, my headlight dims. I thought it was my 6v regulator, so I replaced that. With the new regulator, my headlight still dims when I brake. Do you have any thoughts on this. I could really use your help! Thanks!

Take the head off and add a bit of transmission oil on the piston and let it soak. Repeat this for a few days. Give it a tap with a soft face hammer. You will need to bore it out 0.010” over.
