it's not safe. avoid at all costs. every single thing you can replace with glass or metal, do it. no plastics are safe. they have known this for decades but the oil companies wanted a way to get rid of their byproducts. that's what plastic is, it's literally the waste and byproducts of producing petroleum products. it poisons our bodies and our Earth. the train that crashed in Ohio was full of liquid vinyl.

This is what I do with this exact flange! there are no flanges for my breast shape. Would something like the liquid shield work instead of these hard flanges?

I ordered this pump, but now I’m realizing that all the places to buy replacement valves are out of stock. Are any other brands compatible for valves?? I exclusively pump so I have to replace my pump parts often.

I ideally would love all glass but as an exclusive pumper pumping directly into my baby bottles just wasn’t ideal. It was way too heavy and I couldn’t be hands free. So I preferred plastic.

This wearable pump was recommended to me since it sounds like it’s generally quite comfortable to use on sensitive nipples (I returned the willow 3.0 because it sounds like it can be quite painful). If the m5 technology used can negatively affect supply over time, is there another pump (at any price point) that’s recommended for moms with more sensitive nipples?

My former employer's lactation program sent me this pump for free (pjs comfort) and literally no LC I've talked to has ever heard if it, you're the first!!! Mine is 5 years old, but I haven't used it in 4 years because I probably never learned to use it to its full potential. 2 babies later, I'd like to try it again - I'm sure I just need new tubing, but do you think I can pick it up again after 4 years of no use? And I might need you to teach me how to maximize it 😂

FYI, the Imani cups are size 25 mm so finding inserts is tricky. Their site only goes down to 17 mm and the insert is opaque. Have been looking for a compatible insert to no avail.

Hey, one big question, is there yet anywhere in the world you can buy the replacement valves? I’m in New Zealand and this is the only higher quality wearable pump available here. It’s also quite expensive to buy here, but I could buy a barely used one easily, as I’m not surprised that people try it and find it isn’t for them. The main thing making me hesitate is I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to order replacement parts, even if I could get them overseas, maybe I could order a whole bunch at once and I’d be really interested to try it.

Can you only use Unimom specific duckbills for replacements or are there others you know of that are compatible?

You know humans were born w plastic in them due to our water supply having plastic in it. Willow has a video commercial where they show all the users walking about in public with the top of the pumps peeking out and visible; was that strictly movie license or does anyone use them in that manner? I'm assuming they did that to show the product in use and it would also be understood that the clothing worn would typically cover it fully.

I use sidelying on a pillow because I pump while I feed her but I believe it’s contributing to her having reflux. Is there a remedy to this?

Do legendairy milk cups work better with motif duo or freemie independence

I have another bottle option that I really enjoy that isn’t as expensive. Boon bottles. Everything the milk touches is silicone. Not as good as glass, but better than traditional plastic.

I’ve been using this pump since 5weeks pp (currently 11 weeks pp), it’s been working well for me (I think?). I usually get 3-4 oz per side. Now I’m nervous my supply will tank in the next few weeks. Which pump would you recommend. I had the spectra (blue one) through insurance, but didn’t know how to use it and got overwhelmed so I gave it to a friend. I ended up renting the Medela symphony for a month. I would like a more portable pump if possible. There are just so many pump options that I become so indecisive.
