Good looking set up. I always liked the Nobo products. This is the primary reason i went XD (24 pro4x). The XD gives you the payload. Towing cap is plenty but what gets you into trouble is payload. Mine is fully loaded and comes with 1830 lbs payload. The tongue weight cap in mine per my trim is 1080 lbs and pulling a 7k trailer (fully loaded) puts you right at that cap even in the XD. I played with my WDH to give me some wiggle room. The drivetrain in xd and non xd is stout though. I truly think Nissan engineers were quite conservative. Also the final gear ratio on the XD gasser is built for towing at 4.08 vs 3.69 in yours. This makes a huge difference in initial take off. Someone mentioned sumo springs and I can attest, they are great for infrequent towing. I have them on my first gen tundra. Cheap and give you good support.

Hello! I have a few questions, with adding the 3 inch leveling kit , do you still have full warranty? Also, have you noticed any changes in the transmission since lifting? (knocking on wood nothing horrible) what kind of 3 inch leveling kit did you use for your PRO4X? RSVP please!
@the_next_adventure4 күн бұрын
Check out the other Titan videos on this channel for more details, but it’s a rough country kit. Nothing voids a warranty. Claims can simply be denied, but they have to prove that a particularly failure was caused by a specific modification. The dealer said generally anything 3” and under will not cause problems with warranty.

Putting it in tow mode also activates the engine brake, which is fantastic. Leave it in tow mode, regardless of interstate or not, it will help with the transmission not searching for gears, make it last longer, it changes the shift points also. Granted, it will drop your mileage slightly. Well worth it though. If the rear of the truck is sagging, when hooked up, you need to readjust the wdh hitch. I agree with you on having to press the button when backing up every time. It wouldn’t have Nissan much, for the truck to recognize when a trailer is hooked up, and automatically shut that feature off, for the rear sensors.
@the_next_adventure5 күн бұрын
Yes, I tried to show the engine brake on video but didn’t really get good clips. Tow mode is no good on the interstate. I would not recommend running any vehicle at that high of an rpm. It’s not necessary when you’re just cruising. The trans is not that active, especially if it’s relatively flat or you pay attention to throttle input and there is no strain in the engine when you already have momentum. I mentioned having to play with the wdh adjustments when the rear sags. The camper dealer installed it originally and the truck really squatted so I’ve made adjustments, but the Titan is known to sag a bit so still highly recommend air as support. Obviously depends on the shocks you have too! Overall though we do like the truck and it’s been good for us for any purpose we’ve needed it for.

@@the_next_adventure Yes, I’m impressed by the engine braking on this vehicle. I agree, the Titan is underrated. The numbers don’t always tell the story! BTW- I like the look and functionality of the topper. I’m torn on whether or not to get one. Currently have nothing on the bed. Made a set of sliding drawers, wound up taking them out. I do see the potential for them.
@chuckrogge91225 күн бұрын
I like how you talked about all the weights. But you are wrong on the payload. You probably have around 1250 lbs of payload and you didn’t mention the added weight of the WDH and topper. That is probably another 200 lbs. no doubt the truck feels good. My 21 pro4X also towed great. In case you didn’t know if you are in fact over weight and someone runs into you, the insurance will not pay anything.
@the_next_adventure5 күн бұрын
I did mention payload at 1250-1300 but yes the topper adds some.

How many miles do you have on it? Any issues with carbon build up on the valves?

I mentioned miles at 85,000. All direct injected engines get carbon build up so I’m sure there is some but it doesn’t seem to effect performance yet. catch can helps as well.

I don’t know if this will help for the rear door not opening any farther….but I owned a 2018 Ridgeline with the same issue. I found a hack on the Ridgeline forum where guys were ordering the door checks for the front doors and putting them on the rear doors and it allowed the rear door to open almost 90 degrees with no rubbing or hitting the front door. Check the Titan forums to see if anyone has tried that.

I found a 2019 Titan S with less than 75 k miles going for $25k. I took a chance purchasing the truck as it seemed to sputter. Traded in a 2014 Jeep JKU with $147 k miles. It turned out to be the transmission. Nissan agreed to replace the trans at no cost. $100 k or 5 year warranty. The five years were to end in May 2024 so I was lucky. Great power and just a great truck without paying 40,50,70 k for a pickup.

We had a 2021 pro4x. Only thing i disliked at the time was the transmission issues, and how the rear doors didn't open to 90 degrees, getting my kids/car seats/stuff into the back was a PITA. Other than that, would take a titan over any other truck on the market.
