Nolan's movies are very formula based...too theoratical....lacks the soul and emotion of Lucas and Speilberg.

G3orge saying he argued with his screenwriter professor and saying that it does not matter really REALLY says a lot about the prequels

It really makes you think how many awesome stories are being held hostage by some posse of corporatist bureaucrats that don't know left from right who are somehow in charge of deciding what we make or not.

Whoever did the audio should apologize for the lousy job. Ruined such a great opportunity.
Huge respect to Nolan for letting Lucas talk and not interrupt him.

the only impact of star wars is how he got away with ripping off dune, making billions, denying he did despite dozens of glaring examples, and dumbing it down for most audiences

If you enjoyed this interview, I HIGHLY recommend Sam Wasson’s book on Coppola, “Path to Paradise.” Could easily make the case that the two of them (Lucas and FFC) defined cinema for the next three plus decades.

They need to let Christopher Nolan direct when they decide to remake the original trilogy. Can you imagine how epic those movies would be with current visual effects and a Hans Zimmer film score?

Why Chris Nolan? The man never uses any CGI and CGI will be extremely necessary

"No more robots", Francis? F you, Francis. More robots! You don't like to think about the human condition via sci-fi, futurism and philosophy? Boo-hoo. Not my problem. We love it.

Hey, Disney, here's a "crazy" idea: pick Nolan to write and direct a future Star Wars trilogy.

She was just an editor? Why mention her? George had final say on everything she did great work but had no influence on the film. The scenes she wanted with Luke being introduced earlier were cut out

You know Disney definitely didnt think about the Star Wars sequel trilogy in any way similar to George Lucas. They saw dollar signs, and thats about it.

He invented Star Wars and Indiana Jones. That’s about half a dozen good movies of which he directed one. The prequels were awful, Crystal Skull was awful (Lucas fought hard to have aliens in that one). He’s had grand ideas and surrounded himself with great people, but as a writer and director he really isn’t very good.
@jurgenmathiae66826 ай бұрын
Recommend everybody the biographie, amazing, he cares about people und adopted 3 kids and raised them almost alone, that even more impressive than all around Star Wars

I read dune was impressed and copied it with light sabers because of 7 samurai and because I don’t like actors to much I used robots 🤖 and people made Star Wars big und then pissed me off so I did only animation
