My mom taught me to make whipped cream that doesn't "weep", like to put on a whole pie. Just before you're almost done whipping the cream, put a little plain gelatin into a small bowl with a little water. Maybe about a tablespoon of water. Then put into the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Watch it closely because it will come to a boil quite fast. Turn the mixer on low while you pour it in slowly to the whipped cream, mix completely/quickly. When you spread across your whole, cake or whatever it won't "weep"and ruin your dessert. Good luck! 😊 this was created by my mom many many years ago. She was a fantastic cook/ baker

WHYYYYYY would you put such loud music in the background?? It makes it VERY hard to hear. This ain’t a disco honey, we need less music and more clarity.

Good Day Ladies 👭. Nice to see the Hershey's Cocoa. I'm only 20 minutes from there in Pennsylvania. Try them with some chopped peanuts or mini peanut butter chips. Popular around here because they also make Reese's pieces and cups there too. Those cookies are nice when almond flavor with cocoa powder instead of powdered sugar. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day🇺🇸 ✝️🇨🇦📖✌️💞🙏🥀

What temperature, oven placement and length of time is needed for both blind baking single crust pies and for filled double crust ones? I’m having the most difficulty in this portion of pie making, not the crust.
@TroveDesserts
@TroveDesserts 8 ай бұрын
Hi! I usually bake my pies according to the recipe that I'm following. For instance, our double crust apple pie recipe bakes at 375 for about 1.5 hour, whereas my single crust pumpkin pie recipe bakes for 15 minutes at 400 and then I reduce it to 350 for another 50 minutes. For blind baking I refrigerate the unbaked pie crust for 30 minutes to firm up, then I line the pie with parchment paper and place pie weights or dried beans inside, bake it at 375 for about 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden. Then I remove the pie from the oven, remove the pie weights and parchment, pierce the bottom crust of the pie and then put it back in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the bottom is cooked and lightly browned. I hope this helps :)

Could you recommend a substitution for the liqueur? I'm a total novice for desserts and baking, so googling substitutions is a nightmare for specific recipes 😅
@TroveDesserts
@TroveDesserts 8 ай бұрын
Hi! No problem ☺️ The liqueur is completely optional, if you don’t have any then I would just skip that step. If you’re wanting a flavour, you could try peppermint or orange extract to add a subtle flavour (I would try adding abojt 1/2 tsp) but again this is not needed for the recipe.

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed this 😊. This was definitely a really nice way of making an assortment of cookies. Normally we would make all unique types with different doughs and different methods, which is great...but definitely A LOT more time consuming! So this is a nice alternative. I used the Bonne Mamam Strawberry Jam which is a favourite close second to homemade!

Good Day Ladies. I do the same thing with the sugar cookie dough. It's a great base for almost any flavoring. Those almond bars looked great but I have to vote for the Pistachio wreaths. Maybe combine the wreath cookie with the thumbprint cookie like one of those 2 layer cookies with the jam in the hole. We always called them raspberry tarts. Really nice stuff.
