I have an Overland Vehicle Systems 270 awning on my off-road trailer. First trip out I snapped the two rear spreader bars when a sudden wind blew through. My fault, I didnt stake it out or use the support poles. I called OVS and they sent two new poles w/i a week at no charge. Thats great customer service. If there is any wind I stake it out and use all the poles. After a couple of trips I noticed one of the rear spreader bars is cracked at the weld. I just dont think the alum bars are sturdy enough for camping/overlanding/off road. Ive started lugging out my Ez-up. Its cheap and mobile, I can move it against the trailer to cook then out to cover a spot near the fire. Easy take-down and only 100 bucks if it get trashed and I need to replace.

I like that the tent is lower than on top of a camper shell. But do you have a cover for the stuff in the bed? Or is it all open to the elements or someone stealing something?

Hey! So a dark beer with that mix is going to be sub par for sure. You want to go with a regular Modelo, a Dos XX, any light colored Mexican beer or even an American one like a Miller Lite, etc. Dark beers like Modelo Negro aren't meant to be mixed with that. Also, you have to add some lime, also, it's a very slow pour and it needs to be VERY cold if you're going to pour it into that cup. Yes, the mix will naturally make the beer fizz. No, pouring it super slow won't fix that, you just have to try and fail and then wonder how they manage to do it at the restaurant. I probably sound like a guy that drinks too much, but i do drink too much so I know what I'm talking about haha.

We got to experience the bug tent in the rain on our last trip to Mt. Charleston. If you put the flaps on the bottom on the outside, it helps to keep the water out at the bottom at least. Can't do much if it's a blowing rain but it held up pretty good. Beautiful spot you had though.

At the start of the video I was saying to Teresa, I never see him set up his awning. 😊 I've never heard of that drink. What is it actually? It sounds like it's filled with pop rocks. 🤣 Last trip during Tropical Storm Debbie @ Mid-AtlanticOverlandFestival2024 PA, my GFC did the exact same thing to my HEST DUALLY PLATFORM 50 pads at the ends and sides. Thankfully, the HEST pads have a really nice material on the sides (I slept right through Debbie-best upgrade anyone could do!). Took no time to dry them out in the sun. I had my truck pitched downhill with the tail end up. My buddy with the V1 coats his with: Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar Proof Waterproofing. My unit is as old as yours, I believe, Nov 2021 #1919. I think it's just time to give it a good tent seal. We used the 3M spray on our Coleman Pop-up camper, and wow, that worked amazing. I just need to get on the GFC forum and see what folks like. I believe what's happening is that the water runs down the material like a sponge and simply brings it back into the camper on the metal as you had shown. I'm happy with the V2 no plans to upgrade. 🛻+⛺️=🙂! lol!! Thats why I had to set it up this trip around :D Micheladas are essentially a mexican bloody mary if I had to compare it to something else, instead of Tomato juice and Tequila though your using Beer and Clamato juice. Good to know your tent did the same thing! Glad to hear the HEST survived the storm ;) lol We were relatively level but I think we were pitched just a hair downhill with the tail end up as well so that might be where this water came from? just pooling from the big front window and the water coming down that end. idk? Good idea to coat the tent in some waterproofing I may need to look into that but luckily we dont deal with rain often : ) No plans on upgrading the v2 either, I'm happy with the setup for now but we will see what happens in the future! Thanks for watching guys!

Hey Kaden 👋 and Carly. I love that you guys are the only ones around. No people and a view that goes on forever. Lets talk about that rain 🌧️ that came down on you guys 😲😆 wow that was intense for a bit, huh? 😂 But that makes for a adventure of a different kind! Closeness and togetherness is always good! So there's one for the books. Well the rain put your tent ⛺ and equipment to the test for sure. 🥴 How was it sleeping 💤 in the tent with it raining all night? 🥱 I think you guys did fairly well, considering you normally don't camp when it's raining. Hopefully you guys still enjoyed your trip out there. 😉 Your food looked delicious as usual. Kabobs, and your egg breakfast sandwich looked yummy! 😋 Good video 👍 off to your next spot??? Agreed! A large tarp definitely would have helped but we didnt have a big tarp with us at camp, something I will definitely look into though if we ever camp in potential rain storms again lol Crossing fingers for you, I still have no idea what happened with the rain intrusion on the tent, pretty crazy. The only thing I could think of is the fabric sag was just letting water in even after I zipped everything down
