The Snapish goalkeeper Arconada who made a mistake on the Platini's free kick is very famous in France as we still name those kind of mistake where the keeper let the ball slip beetween his hands or under his belly an "Arconada" in French. Really great video i loved it !

Great video but a tad disappointed you didn't mention how Spain qualified in the first place for the 84 finals. On the last game of the group qualifiers Spain was ranked second behind the Netherlands with only one game against Malta remaining. A win alone though wouldn't suffice as Netherlands had the better goal difference. They battered Malta 5-0 and 6-0 having scored 22 while only conceding 6 resulting in a goal difference of 16, thus everyone assuming the Netherlands would surely qualify. Spain needed a victory by no less than 11 goals to qualify, so even though Malta had lost at one point 8-0 against Ireland this was still thought to be unlikely. Yet in the most legendary game in Spanish football history Spain won the last game of the qualifiers 12-1, ending up with the same goal difference as the Netherlands but more goals thus qualifying. This game is remembered in Spain to this day while the actual 84 euros and the run to the finals is mostly forgotten.

The superleague model already works in European Basket, and it has no effect on local leagues. And it is actually very entertaining for spectators. The main opposition from UEFA is that they are losing money from them (the intermediaries) to the clubs, who are actually the ones who make the competition. I prefer to channel the money from the competition out of corrupt people from UEFA and channel it directly to clubs.

Why not reintroduce the Confederations Cup and make it a 32 team qualifying event for the FIFA World Cup? Let the best 4 teams qualify for the World Cup subsequently

LMAO no sorry I have never heard anyone say that, most decorated at club level in euro trophies? probably but greatest Brittish player? no way I can think of at least 10 players I would say had more ability than Bale, Bale was very good and a world class player but George Best (ok NI, technically UK but not Brittish) , Gazza, Beckham, Lampard , Gerrard, Scholes, Dalglish, Souness, Barnes, Giggs, McManaman, Waddle, and I am sure many others I am missing out, I would all consider better players than Bale. If we are talking impact n the sport, Gaza, Best, Beckham, all had more impact culturally, the likes of Giggs and Scholes, have more league titles, the likes of Barnes , McManaman, Giggs, George Best were all players with more skill who played the same position. Bale is not close to being the greatest...sorry

I feel like top 4 teams qualifying from 8 group of 6 would be better since I've figured this out before and removing the old rules of only 2 uefa nations will can be in the same group. 12 groups of 4 teams will be confusing and will have to make playoff league to determine the missing teams to complete the 32 finalists.

How about 40 teams 4× 10groups Group winners + 6 best second place teams go to the Ro16

The simplest solution: the twelve group stage winners and the select four top runners-up in match points or goal differential to make a round of 16. The plain and simple fact is that there isn't going to be an even, ideal solution to this mess that will satisfy everyone. Best option is to go with a solution with the least complication attached to it.

I dont agree with the statement that the group stage is the most entertaining round. Definitely the knockout stage is. In my opinion the best change in all of this would be de round of 32. But a group of 6 with 4 qualifyng doesnt feel right. Sadly, if the new Champions League format succeeds being profitable, we eventually will have that format in the World Cup. And also, in a few decades im sure the world cup will gradually became a global event like de olympics. Is what Infantino wants at the end.

I think there should be a different format of 6 teams of 8 groups with top 2 of each group qualify for ro16. 16 groups of 3 is very dull in my opinion
