can you make a series on how to make corrido requintos using all scales. because i have a song that’s in the key G# and can’t figure out how to make a requinto
@alexisanayaoficial12 күн бұрын
@amazonshoplifter675 i have a short on my page called "how to find the start of any requinto escala", and if you combine that with the other short showing the requinto escala pattern for any tono, youll learn how to find any escala! And youll see that the G# major requinto escala would start on the 9th fret of the 2nd string 👍 (in E standard)
@amazonshoplifter67512 күн бұрын
@@alexisanayaoficial thank u so much, one more question, say if you got multiple chords in a song like g# than F#M and then C# and then D#7 do you make the requinto only in the g# scale? or do you also include the other scales of the other chords in the song?
@alexisanayaoficial12 күн бұрын
@@amazonshoplifter675 those chords belong to a certain key. I have lots of videos talking about the diatonic chords of major keys and thats how you learn what major scale to play over certain chord progressions. Go check my older tiktok videos!

I’m watching this in the middle of the night and it just sort of clicked for me. I appreciate the time you put into this vid it’s helped me finally understand music theory for corridos and with time I’ll finally be able to put it all together. This saved me years of learning and makes me want to never put the guitar down. Also if I could ask a question. Why do some guitarists take a E string off their docerolas? And could I do it for mine? It’s a mitchell
@alexisanayaoficial12 күн бұрын
@fernandonunez4662 thats whats up bro! Im glad, that was my goal in making this video and all my videos. People take an E string off 12 strings because it reduces the tension by about 20lbs, and brings the overall tension of the strings to around the same amount factory octave strings have. I have a video on tiktok explaining the different tensions and numbers for different brands and string gauge, go check it out!

Im curious about your endpin, i have an adjustable metal kind on my DB but ive seen the fully wooden tolo endpins recently. What do you do if the tolo is not the right height? do they tend to slip? Do you ever have trouble carrying it to gigs without tripping (sense it isnt put up i assume)? Thanks so much!!!!! Love youre channel!
@alexisanayaoficial15 күн бұрын
Mine is adjustable luckily! For the fully wooden one that is set to a particular height I would assume that people either swap them out or shave them down? It would be really annoying to carry and play if its way taller than you haha. And thank you for the support!

@alexisanayaoficialАй бұрын
Whats good bro! I don't unfortunately bro. I would just recommend you make sure that it's planted flat and flush with the top of the tolo and not slanted any way or crooked. It should be in line with the F holes and straight. Just be careful tightening the strings because that will put excessive tension on a certain side and make it easier for it to slip. Also when playing don't pull it so hard, you don't need to yank it to get a good sound just pluck and hit it gently and it shouldn't fall off.

mb I don’t know a lot about music but what’s a root note? I have a tololoche and tuned in Mi
@alexisanayaoficial3 ай бұрын
A root note is the note that we build scales or chords on while playing songs. In order to align the tololoche with other instruments, we try to find the root note of the chord other instruments are playing. If a guitar player is playing a C major chord, as bass players we find and play a C root note, and usually play the 5th thats taken from that roots major scale! Even if it was a C minor chord instead, we still play that C root note.
