Bro, this was awesome! I love watching people's reactions to the ending of this game. It's good to see you, Doeboy, you're reactions to this were pretty close to how I reacted when I played the game. I still play the game super often, and I can beat the game without dying as of now. And even still, 2 years later, this game is still in my top 5 favorite games. Never stop loving Metroid, Doeboy! This might be one of those most satisfying villain defeats ever in a Metroid game. Raven has done so many horrible things, (even before the events of the game) and after such a difficult battle with him, and then having Samus at his mercy, when she finally goes berzerk, and goes full Metroid on him, you just want to cheer. To finally see such a nasty, and powerful villain at your mercy is just amazing. Plus, the Metroid suit is just awesome. If the next Smash Brothers has unlockable outfits for characters, I want a Metroid suit for Samus.

Chozo language in Dread sounds really cool! When I heard it the first time, I think my initial belief was how it sounded Spanish or an ancient Mayan dialect. Spanish I can see because Mercury Steam is located in Spain after all, and they most likely adapted the language for that reason. 🤔

Glad to see fusion get love, most people i grew up around did not like the game as much as zero mission or prime, but i always had the opposite feel. All great games in their own right, but metroid fusion is just based af 😂

Ok here is my Hot take for Metroid prime 4 arm cannon concept The only thing I ask for Samus arm canon to be customizable. What I mean is for her to beams can mixed with different kinds of beams so that the person can play in there unique way. (Making up names for beams) scatter beam sniper beam, rapid beam just to name a few. Not only beams perhaps the rockets as well!! How much fun that would be!! Imagine her looking upon her arm cannon before a big fight and preparing accordingly, and her and part of her arm cannon has a mini screen for you to mix it up or a save station or missile room which ever!! That would be awesome!! Ohh!!

That was a " fuck everything and everyone in that particular direction" beam... Holy moly. P.s. For a short time samsu was probably the most powerful being in the universe... The perfect combination of Human and Metroid

Fusion is good but overated in my opinion. I replayed through it recently and it confirmed my thought. The story is better in Dread imo, it plays well that's for sure but the linearity and the text is just ... huh. I have trouble understanding why some people are mad at Zero Mission for puting a point of your map but not at Fusion for spewing lines and lines just to tell you where to go, sometimes even what you need to do to go there. Not only that, it's the fucking traps that are infuriating sometimes. Invisible blocks, sometimes breakable blocks that are hidden behind a sprite because the game knows that you took the habit to bomb the labyrinth to know the path, so now it'll have you scrub your ball onto each wall so you can find the hidden path !! Go kiss what appears to be void so the camera can move one block away and show you the hidden but mandatory path !! Go bomb that block that looks like anything else in that fucking trap you are, because that's fun !!! In my opinion, it's ... a little bit above average ? I still kinda like it because the gamefeel is good and the tension with SA:X is cool but besides that : very linear, the music is also pretty bad when it comes to Metroid standards honestly, the SA:X sections are very scripted so on your second playthrough you don't really care. Basically Dread and Super are just so much better, even Zero Mission tbh which, again after replaying it recently, destroys any complaint I had about Fusion (someone told me there was the « fake lava » thing .... there's a monster walking there, that's a hint. Fusion gives none of that)

what I wanna know is can you charge a beam without firing first unlike in prime remastered. the charge beam was kinda annoying to use in the remaster because you could no longer start charging before letting off an uncharged shot. I hope they fix that.
