Yes beetles usually come out around early July . So far its not so bad this year. I hand pick them and drop them in soap water. I check on my roses regularly at least once a day !

How was the winter with strawberry hill? Do you recommend her? I’m in zone 5a as well.

Strawberry hill is a hardy down to zone 4. Its a very pretty rose but I prefer Gertrude Jekyll for its bright color. If you are looking for a short climber I would recommend st swithun since its a very healthy rose. Strawberry hill is healthy too but I am not a fan of its color and shape.

I just mound some more top soil or mulch it with wood chips about 3-4 inches around the base

I've never had a hanging basket as it always seems such hard work to get them all planted up - what a great idea to buy them ready made!

Oh my, my! I can see what you mean, I too would probably take ages to decide which one I would be taking back home with me😍 So many options and ideas! We have some local garden centres here as well but I can't remember seeing so many flowers like those in your videos on display and ready to be hung as they are back home😍 Thank you for this beautiful tour beautiful gardener. @@babygirl2912 PAoK is the most healthy and good repeat bloomer in my garden. I love her large fragrance blooms as well. Beautiful color and bloom does last longer than boscobel

The white rose is snow drift, it has no fragrance though !
