Just reading the comments on here, agree you can never replace the original line up and was lucky enough to see on numerous occasions. I for one think Simon is doing a great job, as is the rest of the band keeping these songs alive. Videos can never replace being there both sound and visually, and having seen them twice on the tour so far and another two booked for later in the year long may it continue

I love the connection between Bruce and his son . I thought Simon did an excellent job and really like his voice. Id rather have this than nothing. Marks drumming is legendary not sure it would work at all without him driving it though.

All the people saying this isn't Big Country, sadly, that wouldn't be possible, also, very few bands keep the same line up for 40 years, Simple Minds are still going strong with just Jim and Charlie left of the original band, The Alarm, The Cult, The Mission, all still going strong and not the original line ups, so why so much complaining? As for the quality, recordings on mobile phones rarely do the sound justice. I'm seeing them on Friday in Holmfirth, so I'll reserve judgement until after then, really looking forward to seeing these and hearing these great songs played live again

If you have not gone to see the lads live in person, then STOP with the nonsense replies. The Crossing Tour was fantastic-amazing and I saw them in 5 different venues. I am sure the Steeltown tour will be the same. If you are a true Big Country fan then see you on the road....

Saw them last night and they were excellent. Ok only two of the original band but the band are professionals and give it their all. Most importantly they respect their fans and don't rip us off. Intimate venues, affordable tickets and the chance to get up, close and personal. Sound quality? Prob the recording equipment but who cares. When at a gig get immersed in the atmosphere and as long as the band are not out of tune the ears soon adjust😁 These boys CAN play!

This line up is horrible - they need to get Stuart's daughter in as lead singer
@DianeStephen-yp1fv5 ай бұрын
The first time I heard this singer I cried, live he sounded like Stuart. I have only heard Stuart daughter perform his songs as an accoustic version of her dad's songs, she is a lovely singer, got a Kate Bush Style to her voice, I would definitely be interested hear her sing with the band and the big guitars 😁👍
@andymiles63115 ай бұрын
Sounds nothing like Stuart ffs
@jameswendorff64165 ай бұрын
@@DianeStephen-yp1fv Simon has the same vocal range as Stuart and is a really lovely bloke if you get the chance to meet him which I have a few times. I prefer his vocals to Mike Peters, who is a great vocalist in his own right but they had to lower the key which makes the songs not sound right.
