From a guy who was classically trained and now plays almost all arranged jazz; I know chords, not just jazz chords. This is very funny: "You don't play the chords, you just play the notes and then name them. Super funny and telling post.

The Thesis in Jazz are non wrong notes is very Simple. Their are indeed Notes that are Note ecaxtly in the Key but every Note Had normaly a reason. It's Mostly Bebop Chromatism or Enclosure and thats Things the Classical Masters knowd as well.

I've experienced this the other way around. That musicians hear more of your mistakes but sympathize because they know what it took to get there, but non-musicians expect you to be perfect because you're just "talented" and once they can make out mistakes they'll be like "you're not that good though, you can't even play that right".

As a pianist, I can say that you can only sight-read pieces like "Ode to Joy." But once, my friend told me to sight-read "La Campanella" BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT IT WAS HARD. When I asked him how he thought I was going to sight-read this, he told me HE WANTED TO CHALLENGE ME. My friend wanted to kill my fingers and eyes because of a challenge (now he is my ex-friend😁).

Oh yeah, also, there isn't a better feeling than when someone tells you to sight-read something very hard, like the "Moonlight Sonata" 3rd movement, and you already know how to play it. You act like it's your first time even hearing about this piece, and they think you're better than LISZT or CHOPIN... but in fact, you just practiced for 40 hours every day.

You did a great job on this. Of course Chopin wrote some music that was quite joyful, especially some of his waltzes. I know you already know that LOL, but somebody had to say it. But this was very amusing. Please keep it up.
