Great video! Could you please make a tutorial for ENTC rwy 18 visual approach/circle to land? As shown in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMV2gKR8vLzDdo0.htmlsi=odiOpkfDeOTdbKd1

Great video, thanks! I'm practicing my RNAV approaches in SBRJ. Quite difficult ones. I wanted to ask you if you ever need to change the VERT RNP default value of 400 in the RNP Progress Page 4 for certain approaches. I would also like to ask you how and why are you monitoring your RNP values during your approach, and which decisions can be taken from that.

Your gross weight is 60.1? Why did you land so light-no pax & little fuel I assume?
@Lightaviator Жыл бұрын
Max landing weight on the 737 800 is about 65 tons. Landing at 60 is quite normal. You would typically land on a good weather day with 2.0 to 3.5 tons of fuel left in the tanks, especially in Europe due to the proximity of other airports. Don't get me wrong if you have lots of bags on board then yes the landing weight might be an extra 2 tons or so, but 60 tons landing weight with about 2.5 tons of fuel and a full pax load is about right. Remember you burn 2.4 tons an hour as a rule of thumb, so landing with 2.5 gives you well over your 30 min final reserve.

Is it possible to fly the downwind?
@Lightaviator2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's all about how you type things into the FMC some PMDG versions aren't brilliant, all you need to input is the point you want then add a radial and distance, for instance LAM150/10 so that's a point that would be based off of lambourne VOR from 150 degree radial at 10 miles, and a point will be generated, you can do the same abeam a runway to create a downwind leg.

Hi, Would be a great idea if there is a Telegram groupchat, so that pilots and aspiring pilots could share their knowledge and latest update on the 737 development. I’ve seen similar groupchat for the A320.

Hi man, wonderful video! I have an issue with this, and I can't find out what I'm doing wrong. I set everything exactly as you show, ROLLOUT and FLARE are armed, radio alt set at 50, the plane flyes beautifully through the glide slope... then it fails to flare, or the flare is insignificant, so I always get 350~400 FPM touchdown, almost crashing on the runway... it's been happening with all my PMDG aircraft since the last updates. Any input you can give me will be appreciated!

Oh, thats an interesting failure. It might be a radio altimeter issue. check that the radio altimeter isn't failed in the PMDG menu on the FMC. Otherwise if thy are armed, as long as they engage after it should work. make sure you have both ILS frequencies set up in box 1 and 2 otherwise the two autopilots wont engage. worst case try a fresh reinstall with pmdg?
