The problem is we haven't the personnel to maintain a larger fleet. Unless conscription came into effect, which of course will never happen.

I understand that Australia has 2 of these now. Nice utilitarian Spanish design. Agree with some other commenters, would be nice to see the Aussies with a purpose built fixed wing carrier - something in the 40 to 45,000 tonne arena.

Great filming however you should never fly close to a naval vessel with so many sensors and sensitive equipment on the upper decks you could’ve potentially endangered the safe navigation of the vessel leaving the port. On top of that it’s a massive security breach if you had not sought permission to film the vessel in this close proximity in this way.

Contacted the Navy and sought permission for the flight. The commanding officer was also informed.
