i dont know about that mph i have a neighbor that that just bought a 2023 grom new last week. and its stock. and with him 5'11 220 pounds it will run 74 mph and when my light butt compared to him i can hit 74 mph pretty fast and on good road get it to 76 mph and its stock as of today. now next week will be another story because hes already looking at parts.

And funnily enough, at 1:58 those are actually facelift taillights with amber turn signals

Bought an enthusiast owned ‘02 530i M sport last August. I’ve put 22k miles on it so far and just completed a 3k mile road trip throughout the southwest. Car lives at 3k+ RPMs and absolutely eats the highway, incredible driving experience and value 🤙

Can’t wait to learn to ride bike and eventually when I get familiar with how to ride I really want to get one of these

You sound like you have 'Daddy Issues' ...

Before doing any of these mods, do the essential work- thermostat, water pump, regular fluid change (not flush), serpentine belt, sill rust. Headlight adjusters have to be fixed for MOT (and lighting up the road!). Those chrome bulbs are not road legal in the uk, and e46 wheels will not fit e39 without modification. Coilovers do not improve the ride over OEM shocks/springs. Get the best tyres you can afford. Even most mid priced are pretty crap on e39, it’s a high performance car. The duck tail will lower your mpg without any other benefit. You’re reducing aerodynamic efficiency- which is really high for the age of the car and still higher than most modern cars (look it up!). Straight piping will fail an MOT (M54 is a great sounding engine straightpiped admittedly). Then, if you have any cash left, you can play with the vanity mods shown in this vid. It’s a good list, but get the reliability and safety things done first!

Chrome trim is better then downgrading to black. The orange is a lot nicer then the cheap basic white. The preface lift is obviously more sporty with the classic grill below and Ferrari turn signals. This guy is just a werid Frankenstein with bad taste.

This car makes me realise how E60 was way more futuristic and clean looking interior and exterior wise. And they're from the same time period! I think the E60 5 Series was the epitome of full size luxury saloon.

The nice thing about the Grom, is it doesn't really look like a mini motorcycle or scooter, because it actually is fairly high off the ground. So I shouldn't feel to embarrassed riding it around like I would a scooter, and have to wear a full face helmet so no one would recognize me haha.

Lack of foldable seats is a no deal for me, as I need to carry my skiing gear. If I could find one with a hatch for skiing gear, maybe. Also I dont really like the petrol engine options, they are either underpowered or they guzzle too much fuel for the local prices. But thanks for the introduction, I have always a certain interest for these e class mercs!

My dad had to buy a “family car” back in 2006 when my little brother came along, and I remember I was 5 years old when we had flown to the Frankfurt dealership to buy this car. He got a e320 amg wagon, with a v6 3.0 liter, and he drives it to this very day. I remember when he bought it the guy at the dealership gifted him a mercedes watch, and he gifted it to me when I turned 18. It’s currently sitting at only 180000kms, but it probably resembles my entire childhood when I see a w211. Absolute beauty.

11:10 weirdly enough my W211 doesn‘t do this :( It‘s a 2006 facelift E200 6-speed, maybe it‘s a certain option that‘s needed for that? I know that even automatic and manual W210s usually have that. Or can that function easily break?
