Outdoor light and Closeups are Very much appreciated. Do you think this one has a Gold and Mustard blend Finish ? In the HB. YTube. vid. -- The Official HB. Review a guy playing this Exact model -- that Gold top is Gold - w/ no yellowish mustard color . Returns are way too costly for people in USA so I'm holding off on buying right now

Not easy for me to describe, best would be like others mentioned to say more copper gold then yellow gold. More in the orange direction would be another word for it. I heared that Thomann offers an reverb shop and shipping direct from USA, you should check this and maybe asking direct this people. With some luck they would have better return policy then ordering from germany.

LMAO It´s not my type of instrument, but I do admit that it is beautiful looking. Looks like something Ace Frehley (Kiss band) would play. With those Wilkinson humbuckers and a proper setup it will definitely Rock the house and Stage. Thanks for the cool review. By the way, I will be buying another Harley-B. SC-450Plus LD just to give it as a gift to a friend who plays in a rock band. That guitar is also an amazing instrument and sounds very good. I am still wondering why did you ever "carve " your SC-450LP-LD on the top in one of your videos? Re-paint it in Ferrari Red and give it some more cool mods !
@fritzsguitars11 күн бұрын
Hi Max, do you mean the Epiphone Tommy Tahyer "White Lightning" Signature Les Paul? I was more into the blue sparkel one, but often there are going more into violet color in real compared to pictures. The carving on my SC-450 is for my arm while laying on the body. On most LPs it feels not comfortable for me to rest my arm on the edge cause it is to less rounded. Similar carving I have done also on my Harley Benton SC-550 silver burst and then painted it over with black color :-). Your friend will be happy for such a great gift, not often that somebody is giving you a guitar as a gift.

@fritzsguitars17 күн бұрын
Even on high output active humbucker you can turn down the volume a little to lower your signal/clean up the tone. Anyway if it will be a clean tone is more depending from your amp / amp setting. Check out my new videos, there is also a white JA-20 active with good clean sounds and I have not turned down the volume knob. The only down sides on the JA-20HH for me was the little neck diving (you will need a raw surface strap to compensate this) and the modern body shape which for me feels not as rounded as a traditional fender :-) but I know they made it for the optic. Hope this will help you a little. Greets

To deal with diving neck problem you could add some lead( heavy metal used in car batteries or in fishing lures) as a counterbalance. You could unscrew this little peg to which the strap is attached on the right side, then drill a hole , pour some lead, then mount the little peg again - glue it in. Optionally you could use place where the cord - cable is attached.

Need to wait for the next neck diving guitar to experiment with different options :). Thanks for showing new potentials to solve this.

Considering this for my first Harley Benton. Do you still have this? Did you need to do any modifications?
@fritzsguitarsАй бұрын
I sold it, cause of too much guitars. Finally I prefered more the ST active, on the JA the body shape felt not comfortable for me. Modifications depends on the built quality of each particular guitar. At least consider to do an setup (neck relief, action, intonation). I never changed tuners on guitars... you often can read this from others, I never had issues with them :-). HBZ pickups showing background noise. What I often saw, sharp fret ends, unpolished frets... but this could happen on any harley benton... even for 400€.

I have this guitar and it nearly drove me mad with 'neck dive'. I tried filling the back control cavity with lead wheel weights to try to add weight to the body in order to counterbalance the heavy neck. It made little difference, I then bought a very wide strap, but it just kept slipping with the neck dive. Then it dawned on me, the machine heads are at the end of the neck (headstock), so if I removed the ridiculously heavy Grover tuners, and replaced them with Wilkinson Kluson type tuners, it might just make a difference. In the end, the replacement Wilkinson tuners did help dramatically with the neck dive, but it still drops slightly, but it is much better. No problems at all with the guitar (after a set up), pickups are fine, although the 24 fret neck is a little too long for my liking, though it has a great action, The finish is superb though.
@fritzsguitarsАй бұрын
Good idea to replace the heavy tuners with lighter ones. :). I will keep this in mind for the next neck diving guitar

Put the strap button on the upper horn . Problem solved . Just be careful to put a masking tape before making the hole .
@YNGWIE99817 сағат бұрын
@@jea783 Hi, the strap button is already on the upper horn, that is where it was originally situated. The problem is the 2 octave neck, made worse with the heavy Grover tuners, and the lightweight body. It is not too bad now I have changed the tuners, but the things you have to do to get a balanced, playable guitar!
