Great set up, pretty jealous honestly! I’m set up in a small cramped corner of the garage. Grateful I have that space but man, the shed sets a goal I didn’t know I needed until now haha

Wow, thank you I really appreciate it! Definitely early days for me yet, didn’t realise how hard doing videos was. Definitely can relate to your whole experience so far. Full time job, couple of kids etc so just fit the hobby in where I can. Figured I’d make some videos for fun as I go along with it. Looking forward to following your journey with it all. Your last vid I’ve just had on while getting a couple of hours in now the kids are finally asleep!

Agreed. All I needed was something cheap to stave off the cold and the hotter sunny days (not much of those lately though).

Do it mate you won’t regret it. I’ve actually painted more in the time the shed has been up and running than maybe in the last few years. It makes me enthusiastic about painting.

Hi Scott, Ill be honest, I was vey skeptical but I like to think its like having another 'screwdriver' in the toolset so to speak. Things you can pull out to achieve a specific goal or just to speed things along a little... Ill be using it for various things going forward, I've already began purchasing other colours too ;)

I quite like colour forge’s black Matt primer. I think the Raven Guard would not use a shiny paint so going forward I’ll do all my priming with the matt black and go from there.

Yeah you are right Raging, I’ve got to look constantly at ways to improve and it will, I promise. My channel is all about tackling the grey shame pile and hopefully inspiring others to do the same, rather than another hobby tutorial, I think there is loads of them already, and they all paint better than I do ;) I hope you stay tuned for the journey I am on, my pile of shame is massive…

Slapchop Removed a lot of the barriers to painting for me. the Orks look great. One thing I found works better for Brighter models is to Spray 100% White (the new GW white is Great.) the wash with a black wash Mixed 50/50 with contrast medium, the Drybrush with the White of your choice.

Most use cheap makeup brushes like ones for blush by e.l.f or similar brands. Another good tip is to make yourself a texture pallet from old sprues/bits/sand/rocks etc. Use that to get the paint off your brush and it will improve your dry brushing a lot (instead of using a paper towel).
@The_Hobby_Shed
@The_Hobby_Shed 7 ай бұрын
@@chaoticzer0 Agreed, Ive had my eye on some printed ones, but was thinking to save the cash and just make a small one from the bits box. If I can get one cracked this week, Ill stick it in the next video. Mike
@chaoticzer0

@@The_Hobby_Shed Right on! Yeah I think I've seen a few myself that can be printed for like the AP pallet and it seemed pretty good. I've been using a glass pallet myself but I really want to make one and I've got enough spare bits I can make a good one I think.
