bumped touch pad and sent an incomplete comment.....I used my pass through sockets and it was no problem whatsoever! This is only one of the very few projects where that set has been beneficial, but it was worth the ENTIRE cost of the set (under $30) on this one. Thanks again for "helpin' a brother out". Two thumbs up...

AWESOME video! Saved me time and frustration as others have mentioned. I have only read a couple of comments and saw the alternative suggested by Bruce Horner. Good, but not great, still too much work, I used my "Pass through socket and

10 years later still Good Advice. You need to understand what he says. When he says Weight, is is talking about MASS. Just like in Home Audio, the Cabinets are VERY thick. DIYMA has had all sorts of FLAME wars with how or what to go with. My Pro TIP? BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS if you can, or Local if possible. Just Don't be a "Big Dummy" about it. Also, this dude in the video? His sisters name is GRETTA! :-) (The Tisum Clan will get this) Peave out and enjoy your ride!

Sorry to bother, I'm a little late. Watched all you videos on car audio and have 1 question. If I wall, should I brace entire vehicle, or just the front chamber?

Hey man, I'm the guy in the video. Holy cow this is old. I mean yeah, all things considered an 18 Bullhead better than a 15. And it really depends on your application. What I learned in my years of car audio. Enclosure design is everything.

Surely using closed cell foam on top of something like Dynamat will help you project more of the sound through your speaker instead it escaping through other parts of your door?

I'm the guy in the video. Different account. I stopped buying subwoofers and started buying Bitcoin. :-) Anyway, you're absolutely right. Most of those products are designed to be used together. Although they have their independent benefits. Honestly, 11 years later, much of it is a waste of money. If your doors rattle, do some test.....what frequencies make it rattle.....the whole nine yards. be systematic about it. Many of these products have a HUGE markup. They WANT you to cover your car.......and a lot of the guys on youtube... 'they are sponsored to do it. (If you have the money, go for it.....they are great products. But a lot of "noobs" expect a miracle and end up spending a lot on something they didn't need.

Don't shoot the messenger people. This guy just saved me a LOT of trouble. I was gonna go with U Seal to sound deaden my car but thanks to this video I'm NOT gonna make that mistake. I live in Los Angeles where the summers get REALLY hot and the U Seal would definitely bleed out in that case. It really pays to do research and listen to/read a variety of reviews.
