Bob James on vocal. Both Bob and Ronny had already passed away.

Been listening to this a lot lately, plus "Warner Bros. Presents," "Open Fire," and the 1st Montrose album. Those are the best Montrose albums.

I was way into Paper Money back in the day/still am! I Got The Fire!
@ChicagoBeaver3 жыл бұрын
@@sterioapple You can tell with Paper Money, Ronnie was deep into song writing as opposed to the 1st Montrose album, where every song was a super cranking rocking song. Too bad this album didn't sell, 'Paper Money' was 65 on the Billboard Top 100.

Where the hell were all you people when we included this in our set in 1980 ?!!! The crowds used to go absolutely .................................HOME. I loved this whole LP but "Tighten The Knot" was my fave.

I looked for the lyrics to something and got the same thing. Wrong song. Maybe that was it. EVERYWHERE I looked I got the same thing. Lets Go was the song I looked for. Had it wrong. genius.com/Montrose-lets-go-lyrics Here it is! What the hell is this song? This is not the lyrics to Lets Go!!!!!

Cool! I would imagine a lot of people dont know this band ever existed. I didnt at the time. I stumbled onto it by chance when someone gave me a gift certificate in the early 80s. I looked at the back and saw who was on it and hit the road for the turntable! I wish they would remaster it for cd. This is my yesteryears crackly album.

I was in the Army, in Germany when this album came out. "I/We" (as in my Army buddies and I!) were big Ted Nugent and Derek St. Holmes fans....Saw them on numerous occasions! Parts of this album have been on KZfaq for a few years, but not the album selections you posted back in September! "Miami Slide"! Thanks again!

I was wrong about this not being on cd. It is. Came out in 2011.

Thanks for adding this. No wonder Ted Nugent doesn't sound the same on Stranglehold, Storm Troopin' or Just What the Doctor Ordered. That was Derek St Holmes!
@sterioapple6 жыл бұрын
I saw Ted aug 27th 1978 at the Paramount Theatre in Portland Oregon. $8.50! I think they opened with Just What The Doctor Ordered. Ted's running around playing guitar while "some dude" was doing all the vocals. I was kinda stunned. I always thought Ted was "the man" in every way. I didnt know. You'd think I would have read the album covers! Of course I did. Just didnt put it together?

Ever wonder why Uncle Ted doesn't sound the same on Stranglehold, StormTroopin' and Just What the Doctor Ordered? 'Cause that was Derek St. Holmes. Too bad this band wasn't supported. Thanks for adding the album. My cassette tape was wearing out...
