Yes, it is a myth. Ivy has been shown to protect buildings and reduce harmful pollutants in the environment.

You can do the same thing with horse chestnuts and their leaves. You can also make disinfectant from alder tree cones.

She meant that you eat small amounts of that dandelion "honey". Not that it has a small amount of sugar. Listening is key.

Technically it isn't vegan, because it's produced by animals, but honey is so much better for the environment because you're protecting bees (which pollinate flowers) instead of picking flowers yourself.

It depends on the person! I’m a vegan who eats honey and I only buy local. It can have some environmental issues with outcompeting the native pollinators but that’s not an issue when it’s done on a small scale.

Recipe 👇 🌼 4 cups dandelion petals 🌼 4 cups water 🌼 2 slices lemon 🌼 2 slices orange 🌼 2 cups sugar Method 🌼 Simmer the dandelion and citrus with the water for 30-40 minutes 🌼 Strain out the solids and add the liquid back to a pan 🌼 Add the sugar and boil for roughly 45 minutes till thick and sticky 🌼 (you can test this by freezing a teaspoon and adding a drop to see how runny/thick it is!) 🌼 Add to a sterilised jar and consume within 12 months Have you got any favourite dandelion recipes? 🌿 #wildfood #foraging #forager #dandelion #slowliving #cottagecore #veganrecipe
