I would recommend for books to go to your local library,it saves you money and once you read it you can return it back. If you end up liking the book and could see yourself reading it again then you can purchase it.

I use a separate email for any emails that I sign up for just for the coupons/discounts. I turn off the notifications for that email and just check it when I make a purposeful decision to shop there.

GIRRRRL!!! I HEAR YA!!! Mine isn’t necessarily clothes. I live in Oklahoma & have family in Colorado so really, we just kinda need to keep ALL WEATHER TYPES in our closets on the daily. It could be December & 90 Degrees or it could be June & in the 50’s (& after weeks of 100+ degree days). Mine tends to be stickers. I HAVE AN EMBARRASSING amount of stickers. & planners. & shoes (but mostly because I keep everything shoe related whether or not it truly fits well) & dangle earrings (seriously have an embarrassing amount of those but I also know it’s because it took 7 ~ YES SEVEN ~ tries to get my ears to not have issues … apparently I was allergic to pretty much all metal there for a while & I’ve been playing catchup ever since!)!! But b/c I NEED to have planners (several, yes… including homeschooling & budgeting & Christmas & Easter ~ family & kids, it’s a thing in our family ~ the mom’s of the younger kids put on the whole shebang… Easter hunt, lunch/dinner, activities, etc)… but I decorate like a crazy girl with my stickers 🤪… Etsy is my crack I’m just sayin… I think that it’s AMAZING that you know what your triggers are. One of my triggers (grocery shopping) is bringing my 10 year old son … so if I’m bringing him, then he knows going in that either we are on a VERY STRICT BUDGET & not getting anything extra that’s not on our list OR that we can get 1-2 treats BUT they have to last until the next go round of shopping at least & anything eaten too soon… well, sorry, ya outta luck! Knowing your triggers is a BIG HUGE GINORMOUS part of the battle. So it’s not that you failed or didn’t do well (& trust me when I say I TOTALLY have forgotten my own plan about not buying something in the middle of a no buy challenge, you are soooooo not the first 😂), it’s that you were in the learning mode while working on staying diligent about the challenge you were working on. It’s those little ‘slip ups’ that help you find what your triggers are & what you need to be cautious of… sales. Absolutely 😂😂😂😂 BUT going forward, you’ll find a few others here & there on your journey & learn from them as well!!!

I consider your minimal spending summer a complete success! It’s amazing what can happen once it’s realized that shopping and buying has become a habit that needs to be curtailed. My daughter has been on this journey for over a year now and is getting her finances in order. She’s in a much better financial situation than she was last year when she had more debt than money. It’s hard to stop paying attention to what influencers hawk on their channels. I’ve learned to ignore most of the hauls, etc because I can’t wear most of what they are showing due to severe skin allergies. But, every once in awhile, I’ll see something that gives me the ‘I Wants’. It’s hard not to rush to buy it.

I love my revair. It saves my strands!! I get length retention for sure. I use to think I needed the highest setting but I don’t. I use 4. My roots get straight. I sit the nozzle on my head and move it back and forth. I have type 4 hair too.

I have salt and pepper hair. I am in my 50's. I have been graying since 30 something. I did a big chop to get rid of perm in 2017. I have just been natural without any chemicals. I did feel that i would look older but I am getting older. LOL

Your Fro is FIRE! Beautiful! I am loving my fro as well. I prefer my hair like a fro than any other styles. Wash and Go requires lots of gel and I am not a big fan of Gel myself. I like my hair to feel soft!

Its self and race hate with wearing wigs weaves lace fronts extensions etc to mimic the rest of the world's hair texture and looks ridiculous on a black and defo not in their DNA also making the Asians rich while they're laughing all the way to the bank. I can't understand how their not ashamed of the falseness especially when everyone is laughing behind their backs. I suppose imatation is the sincerest form of flattery 🙂🙋🏼‍♀️

I Love!! It was really hard to find someone who just wears her texture effortlessly. This is what I want! Most content is about gel and mousse, which is perfectly fine, unless the smell of gel makes you gag, which it does for me 😓.

Hi, my brother really got into running a few years ago, and I remember him talking about how accomplished he would feel after each half-marathon. I wish you the best for your first half-marathon. And if it stays a passion for you, there is one in Negril, Jamaica each December I believe, if I remember it's called the Reggae Marathon.

Hi, I'm curious to know how you choose a cream vs a gel for your twist? For myself, during summer I can't use a cream mostly becausse my hair get frizz too quickly. Also with the humidity they ''puff up'' but that does annoy me the least :)

Hey girl, thanks for sharing. I enjoy your content and am proud to be a Patron. One thing about manifestation: I think it has been watered down and sensationalized so much that the essence of it gets lost. By writing down your goals every day like you described, you are essentially engaging in a form of manifestation! Manifestation does require action in a lot of cases, I think that’s lost on people. Congrats on all the progress you’ve made this year.

Generally impressed with your progress in all areas but when I heard 55 books I was like WAIT! thats a lot. Good Job for achieving all of that, very inspiring. I struggle a lot with having discipline, and unfortunately I struggle with journaling as well so I tend to have goals and constantly (intentionally) forget about them although they are important. So part of why I like content is picking up daily habits to just be more disciplined and intentional about living & goals

Hi young sis, I loved this message! You are so on point! I really had to join because I think you should have so many more viewers that engage w/ you-at least a couple hundred thousand. May your channel continue to grow & you just blow up and see a financial benefit because you really are helping others. I haven't had any chemicals on my 4c hair since before most of you all were born and there wasn't all the products that we have today. FYI, I'm 65 & have been natural for 27 years (since 1997). I have to say, that sweeping baby hairs is madness (like caterpillar eyelashes), especially when I see edges gone and women are sweeping hair all the way from 1 to 2 inches from their natural hair line. Who are they fooling? Just stop, you are doing nothing more but a type of combover (lol)! Those 2 things need to go the way of the dodo bird! But, thanks young sis for dropping serious knowledge because they need to know!! Blessings to you, Nela
