I'm currently a learner driver and normally I end up saying "Shush you" if they honk but there are times where I get stressed out about it. Like can thy not see the big ass L on the back? The one time I ended up panicking a bit too much that I ended up stalling then got honked at. Like didn't they go through the same? Or did they magically get their licence without practicing and being a learner? Like please just STOP. My instructor gets frustrated with some of those drivers. I'm sorry if I have to do all my checks and get out of neutral at stops and take slightly longer to make a turn because of all of that 😡

I am a lot happier now, but it's a lifetime of worries living with mental illness up close. Life is precious but for some it is a never ending struggle and something they'd rather not have to keep doing. For me, it is so hard to accept that there's absolutely nothing I can do to change that person's frame of mind. That I can't fix them. But I suppose there is an important lesson in there: All we can ever do for other people is to be there for them and give them our love and support. Thanks for checking in and leaving a message! I will be back with new videos in 2020, so maybe we'll meet again on here. Wishing you a lovely week! //Evalena <3

Hi Evalena, I noticed you subbed to my channel so thought I'd check you out! 😊. I suffer from mental health issues. I've wondered whether I should mention this on my channel as I know there will be days when I'm going to feel really low or suicidal (as I did yesterday) but I don't want to scare folk away! I know mental illness touches lots of us, either personally or via friends/family but there is still a stigma around it. I think it's important to talk about it. I also wonder if folk shy away from talking about it because they do feel helpless as you say. All I want when I feel like shite is for someone to care enough to listen and not reject me. Haven't always had that kind of response so I do tend to isolate myself so to avoid the raised eyes, harsh words or lack of interest. Who needs that when you're already feeling like crap?! Anyway, thanks for sharing (and subbing) 😏🌼

Oh gosh, Annie, it was such a silly situation. There we were trying to communicate with this machine, getting more and more frustrated as he's not responding, and then it turns out we've just not said the magic words he was waiting for. I laughed so much that night my midriff was sore the whole week after! =))

I have a gift I bought for someone that I never gave them because I later thought they probably wouldn't like it. Hope you had a good time visiting with your friend.
@ResilienceQd6 жыл бұрын
Oh, you and me both, Annie! That is one of the more common reasons I end up not sending a gift to its intended recipient. I overthink and fret about it and sometimes I even worry they will feel like they now have to get me something in return and that what was just meant as a nice gesture will instead create a chain of guilt and bad feelings. I never used to be quite this silly before, but since my disability forced me into retirement I seem to have developed a whole host of social anxieties. Thanks for popping in to see me! I see you did VEDA again in April. I will go and watch your videos soon. I decided to give it a miss as I was going on a 3-week trip, but now I'm considering pre-recording (at least some of) them for August so I can join in the fun again then. I really liked doing the VEDA and meeting so many other creators.

It really is crazy that access to something so crucial to your wellbeing and social status should depend on yourt finacial situation. I am lucky, in a sense, as I get a lot of help for free because of my disability but I am really worried too. I hope you will be able to get yours sorted!

Great job! Boy, you were busy! Can't wait to see some of your videos about the specific challenges you did - Inktober and the writing month sounds really great! When I reach a goal, I guess I spend a moment to breathe it in and then launch into another goal. I like to keep challenging myself because my natural tendency is to give up, so month-long challenges or something that has a deadline really work for me!

Yes, I really like thew month-long challenges as it gives you time to really get into something. Only downside for me is that I rarely have energy for more than one activity a day, so if I'm doing a crafts challenge then crafts is pretty much the only thing I do that month...

Oh, Lynne, you're back too!! It was such a sad day when you went awol, but now I see you're back with a new plan of attack. I'm looking forward to see where you will take your channel now. I am finally able to record snippets of video again and I have what looks like a tough, but hopefully interesting, year ahead, so I hope technology will be on my side and allow me to keep making videos. I really missed it during my break! Snow and cold is my definition of hell - and just to spite me and mock my joy we actually had 3 minutes of snow today. That's England for you - the only place in the world where weather is not an uncountable noun... LOL

Awww... See there you go making me all leaky eyed again, my darling... <3 I am so immensely proud to call you my friend and seeing you leaving that cage to go out and take on the world again makes me so happy I can't even begin to describe the feeling. It's the deep sobs and rib cage bursting sensation only years of pent up sadness and frustration can cause. It's the ripples of unparalleled joy as you catch the faint fragrance of freedom in the wind. And it's the mind boggling realisation that one day I might actually be able to leave my cage too. You are showing me a universe I did not know existed, and I feel like I'm perched on your shoulder taking it all in as you share your exploits with me. Upwards and onwards, love xx
