What an inspiration! Thank you for giving hope to those who are suffering and for helping to demystify/destigmatize the illness. Merci!

Um so what was the fix?... Surgery? What surgery?
@SUPREHEALTH23 күн бұрын
As Crohns is a chronic disease there is currently not yet a "fix" per se, but lifestyle and dietary planning, medical treatments, and surgeries, in Erin's case, help manage her condition to the point she has maintain a great quality of life. There continues to be more research into Crohns disease, understanding the genetic and environmental determinants, the biological mechanism of why the immune systems works, and applied into precise treatments and management strategies.

Schizophrenia runs in the family. His parents don’t look like they have it, but if you look far back enough, someone in the family for sure had it.
@tl4472Ай бұрын
In my family there is an obvious genetic link regarding mental illness. Grandma & sister (BPD) committed suicide. Every member of my family had/has "something". Then the worst happened: my precious daughter developed schizophrenia after graduating HS w/honors; there was no drug use. Her first delusions were about me where she accused me of things I wasn't doing. The parents in this video are so blessed that their son loves & trusts them - and that he allows them into his life. What I'd give for a hug and I love you, momma....

There are numerous studies that suggest a genetic but not exclusive link of schizophrenia. Having a family history of schizophrenia does not necessarily mean one will develop schizophrenia. Research has not identified one single cause of schizophrenia. It is thought that an interaction between genes and a range of environmental factors may cause schizophrenia. Psychosocial factors may also affect the onset and course of schizophrenia. Heavy use of cannabis is associated with an elevated risk of the disorder. My son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at only age 16. It's been so difficult. I really appreciate this movie, and that you shared your perspective. It's nice to get some hopeful stories.

Thank you so much for sharing. We were likely very inspired by Quentin's story, and importantly, the story of Quentin family, their own psychological journey as parents and caregivers, and the critical importance that that support has in Quentin's success.

Thank you for sharing your experience. May I ask the medication that is working for you? One of our problems is that my son is allergic to antipsychotics. We have been struggling to find the right match. It’s been a long 4 year struggle. The family and friend support is there.

Feel free to present this video to your medical professional for their assessment. We prefer not to disclose specific treatments as we avoid all elements that may be construed as promotional. A treatment plan should be between the medical specialist, the patient, and in some cases the patient’s care givers.

The best thing is to talk to a psychiatrist (or more). Antipsychotics are the only one that can help. Other things like healthly lifestyle, vitamins or for example CBD Oil, are just support but not helping to remove "positive" symthoms.

Pharma drugs are toxic. What helped Quentin was the warmth and support from his family and friends. What caused the nervous breakdowns was too much stress and psychological pressure when he thought he needed to excel in all schools, with different languages, different cultures, pleasing everybody etc. I heard that before of a woman in Germany who was studying at two different universities doing two dissertations in different subject fields. She managed to complete the dissertations and got two doctorate degrees and after it was done she collapsed and her mind broke down where she could not even enjoy the result of her hard work at school. I heard that she never recovered from the schizophrenia. Why accept such pressure? Why try to please people or society? What for? Think of your own health and body and mind.

Mental illnesses are very individual for every person and their circumstance. Not only is a clear diagnosis difficult to evaluate, treatment planning often requires trial and error to determine dosing, response and tolerability. Disparaging a treatment plan that may include pharmaceutical treatments in addition to therapy, support, and recovery, is a harmful attitude to promote. Consult with a qualified medical professional, in this case, a medically specialist in psychiatry, on diagnosis and treatment for mental illnesses.

@@SUPREHEALTH Did you get this infomercial from Chat GPT? Nice try. But doesn't work. The pharma industry is a highly corrupt organized crime network. They do cruel tests on animals. They also test on humans. Pharma drugs don't work and cause more problems and even long term neurodegenerative illnesses. The pharma industry needs to be abolished.

This was a beautiful mini doc. As a person who takes medication it pisses me off when you refill your medication and you get hit with a "ooh sorry we are out of the medication today (Thursday) and we will not have the medicine back in stock until late Monday or early Tuesday." Gee thanks for forcing me to not have my medication for four plus days.
