How is the battery held in place? It looks like the cover has rubber on it to hold the battery in place but I don't think I would trust that with all the vibration. (Or is the rubber to make sure the battery terminals don't short out to the metal cover?) Does the battery bounce around when in use? Looks like wires are right next to battery and could be easily damaged by a bouncing battery. Second question - what is the rubber bungee cord on the tongue used for? Third question - did you mount the control on the ATV or just mount it on the mower itself? (I am leery of the cable being damaged if the hitch comes loose which I have heard has happened.)
@Polaris425
@Polaris425 2 жыл бұрын
@@deanjohnson334 The difference here, you shouldn't be bouncing this thing around like a boat or ATV. The battery is inside a enclosed metal box, and can be strapped down. It ain't going anywhere.

Northern Tool delivered a damaged Swisher mower Jan. 27th. I asked for an immediate return that same day. Yesterday (April 4) , Northern Tool finally said a truck would come today (April 5) to pick up the damaged product. However, no truck came, and no one phoned me about the delay. Northern Tool is disappointing. Swisher is disappointing in being negligent about the lack of responsibility in partnership with Northern Tool.
@Polaris425

I ordered directly from Swisher, and didn't have any trouble. I think northern tool is similar to harbor freight and yes, I can understand your frustration there...

Even though the capability to go fast up to 70 mph or faster, rarely do I push mine above 55. Most times I launch my Boat close to the coves in the Lake I like to fish. Great video!!!

How many loads would I need for a 16x76’ mobile home and 6inches tall??
@Polaris425
@Polaris425 3 жыл бұрын
Hard to say. Here the requirements are 5' of pad outside of the home. So you would need a pad that's 26' x 86' and Crowned in the middle so water drains to the outside, if any were to get under it, also to Keep water run off, from getting underneath. So your center line would be at 13'. If you're 6" deep in the center, and 0" at the edge, then on average your depth is 3". so 13' x 86' x 3" = roughly 3400 cuft of dirt. Double that for the other side and that's 6800 cuft.

What is that base made of and how much did it cost you per load ? 12 tons per load ?
@Polaris425
@Polaris425 4 жыл бұрын
Mostly red clay, or a mixture of red clay/sand. Not sure on tons, they were 20yrd trucks and I paid $160/load. However I got a discount because I worked for a construction company at the time.

* UPDATE * I sent the 5.11's back... They did not fit my foot very well. They were well constructed and seemed like a good product, just didn't fit my foot like the bates did. So I believe I'll be ordering a new set of these Raide Mids.

Still using Sixgill? What's your thoughts on them? Tempted to pick up a couple baitcasters while they have their buy one, get one sale going on.
@Polaris425
@Polaris425 4 жыл бұрын
I've still got it but I'm not crazy about it. I find it very difficult to cast without backlashing. Maybe it's just me... I've got the brakes turned almost all the way up and I still backlash with it. Other than that it feels great, very smooth. Cork handles are really nice.
@macjig5148
@macjig5148 4 жыл бұрын
@@Polaris425 that is my impression as well with a sixgill casting reel -- i think mine was the Typhoon but first time out it had such a bad backlash that I had to retire it for the night -- i must admit that it was cottonwood time on the pond and i was preoccupied pulling cottonwood off my line and not attentive enough to my fishing -- the guides/reel may have been hampered by the cottonwood -- but at this time I find my abu garcia reels much easier to cast -- but one day is not an adequate test period to judge quality -- i will give it more opportunities -- it was just my initial impression

@@macjig5148 They definitely are easier to cast with a heavier bait. something that can keep pulling line out during the cast.
@macjig5148
@macjig5148 4 жыл бұрын
@@Polaris425 agreed. I have gotten better with it but I really need to keep my thumb there to control the spin or ... Backlash time. My Abu garcias and Kast King's are much smoother. I think the BOGO price is really the fair price.

You should always run Seafoam as fuel system preventive maintenance. (1 ounce Seafoam for each gallon of fuel...! ) Let's just call it fuel system insurance...
