So your going to put the Party pully on, Mabey using Motorcycle fuel tank sealer, it's fuel proof and seals up pin holes in fuel tanks. try coating the inside of the float bowls with it to prevent the fuel from eating the bowl away. Just brush on a thin layer to the inside of the bowl.

how do you maintain a e85 carb when your not racing every week? say you take a couple weeks off or a month ,then end of season do you have to do something with fuel pump, and lines, and tank
@richardteresacricheducatio3542
@richardteresacricheducatio3542 9 сағат бұрын
@@pinkymccauley7480 if it was C16 racing fuel, you would not have to do anything e85 and M1 you have to clean within four or five days or rotting will occur I believe E85 is worse than M1 you see how bad the carburetor was. It will be the same way through the entire fuel system.

There is a dirt track racing carb that is ingenious and how carbs should have been all along. No floats. Just a flow circuit that fills it up to a certain level and it maintains that. Look up Willy's Carburetors to see it.

Remember how long sport bikes ran carbs till emissions forced them to go efi. I guarantee if the car companies didn't have to meet mileage and emissions; they would still be using carbs. Look how simple a carb is on a mower. Those complex carbs from the 1980's were a total joke.

What I don’t understand about the set up is, how come this carb doesn’t need to be enclosed in a pressurized box, like blow thru carbs did before? What’s different about this carb so that doesn’t have to be done?

I had a 74 mustang with a c4. Ammco rebuilt it with the shift kit I put in it. They could not figure out what to do with the new modulator. Since new it would always shift to first when you kicked it into passing gear. Ammco never figured it out! In 76 they rebuilt it for 2400 and never got it right. 50mph and hit passing and it tacked over 6000 before you could get off it. Any idea what that would be? Always wondered. Thanks for the video.

What is your opinion on using AV gas? I run it in my Gasser and have no problems. AV gas is supposed to last for years, and I leave it in all winter and have had no issues for years. It cost more than pump gas but in the long run it saves me lots of time and aggravation.

@@christopherwatson283 actually fuel mileage should be pretty good. We stayed with a smaller carburetor for fuel mileage. We will suffer a little bit of horsepower but she’s going to be driving it on the highway more stuck on the highway for hours possibly and traffic jam stuff like that so should do very well.

I would sand all the surface rust off that cars body, touch it up with etch primer then reprime it,rub it back with 400-600 grit wet & dry sandpaper then I would tack rag it with grease and wax remover then paint the body to prevent it from rusting out. 21 years ago I drove one of my cars around painted with bare primer for about 6 months until we got the time & money to paint it with acrylic lacquer. These days I might opt for a 2k polyurethane paint,I don't have a licence to paint with 2 pack paint in Australia & I would need to find someone who has a spray booth & a curing oven to cure the paint, it's illegal to paint with 2 pack paint in the backyard shed over here !
