Amazing how a novel can increase the interest for music, in this case Archduke Trio. Murakamis novel has hereby made a great job in supporting classic music! And what a wonderful music!

Lovely performance, plus, violin vibrato I desire for, than clarinet- violin dialogue (clarinet looks to be made of precious wood gold combination- spectacular!) and inflamed finale (first subject) 3:05- 3:15 beautifully played with a character... (scientist and a horn amateur here, 60y trying to play one single Mozart's horn concerto and still not ready for recital 😊...)

this piece was not written as a quartet but a single instrument that comprised of four individuals, Britten redefined the quartet that was so natural no one would even question the new era he was ushering in.

Such a joyful performance! I said once before, you are fairly dancing these works I love so well. And even more, to your credit because they are discriminating listeners and no dilettantes, my cats are completely enthralled and clustered in front of the sound system, not even asking for snacks. We are subscribing to this channel today.

Since we're all here because of Murakami: I kind of felt like this was minor weak point of the novel. Having the high school dropout trucker character go watch New Wave French cinema and discuss obscure classical music in a coffee shop, seemingly for no reason? Seemed like Murakami was having a pretentious wank. I get that Hoshino needed something to cause him to contemplate things and come to a realization about his life, but doing it this way seemed forced and out of nowhere. And not in the fun sort of "out of nowhere" that makes Murakami's stories so great. No, this was just kinda silly. Still a great book.

I feel that way too. But at the end of the day hes just sharing something he really loves to his readers. If he mentions other forms of art in his work, he must really love it and wants us to hear it too

After Oshima took me to Schubert and his imperfection, now the coffee shop owner and Hoshino have brought me here . I have to thank you Murakami, I never had a friend who could introduce me such musics that you did.

Siento curiosidad por el mencionado libro del escritor japonés Kafka on the Shore, el cual asocian con este piano trio. Tendré que leerlo , me pregunto si agregará algo de valor al esta sublime creación de Ludwig. . .
