I still play the Classic ( vanilla ) version of the game, but the mods give it a different look and feel. Some mods are really good while are not. I like to explore them all.

I like it. It has a good amount of maps. Some maps have different kits available.

I don't know about the mods, but if you go to BF2Hub, they have online servers.

If you get a copy of the game, you can play online through BF2142Hub. The game came out in 2006 but EA/Origin shut down the online servers in 2014. Neither the EA store or Steam sell it any longer so your best bet is to buy a DVD version on Amazon. Once you install the game, install BF2142Hub. This is the link to BF2142 Hub. battlefield2142.co/
