Good job on the plumbing! When I did my little place I chose PEX A, costs a bit to get the tools but it sure makes for a nice install. I did look at the shark bite fittings though.

Thank you! All of the main plumbing was done with PEX A with the exception of the final valve fittings which I used the shark bite. I am really happy with the PEX A too.

Man, you two are crushing it! Great episode, bud. The second you started cranking on those pex pipes on the wall I remembered you putting a backer board behind it. LOL! So many builders forget that stuff. I'm truly interested in if you get any drips or leaks from these press on shark bites. I've had decent luck with them in the past, but that was 15+ years ago, so nothing new. Again, thanks for the episode!

Unfortunately I have not done any brick work at the property but I would guess that you install the outriggers and then brick up to and around them. Great question

I just finished a fireplace . Not quite as big but close . Yours looks great . I’ve learned a few lessons . Paint the surface black . Buy the corners ….so much easier . Don’t get creative…follow.the pattern ….The set pattern unless you have a million extra hours . Wears dusk mask …cut outside if house is unfinished . Use a level . Did you use fire rated blocks ?

I've never understood where the lateral stability comes from with those trusses. Looks like you sneeze and they just domino down. Even with all the sheeting I know that helps but still looks like a big gust of wind and a bunch of snow piled on top would topple the whole roof. Cool project though. Can 't wait to make it through the rest of the videos.
@RedemptionRoad
@RedemptionRoad 3 ай бұрын
I totally understand and thought the same thing. There are a lot of cross bracing and rat runs that tie them all together on top of the sheeting. The truss manufacturers send a plan for bracing with the trusses.
