His choruses are so damn catchy man. This was one of those quintessential gateway albums for getting people into the scene back into the day. Their self titled album was my favorite of theirs personally. Kingdoms by Broadway is another great album from around then if you haven’t checked that already as well

Such an amazing album! Seriously one of my favorites by them without a doubt. The drums, the bass, the guitars, the singing.. all top notch and tight.

Disappearing Syndrome, Hanging Revelation, and Anti-Euology three of the all-time greatest swancore songs! I love this band and everything they've done since, but don't think anything will quite match up to "Wake," one of the most unique masterpieces this genre will ever see

Your reaction was highly relatable. I recommend checking out the older Omnislash version of Traces if you haven't already. There aren't vocals, but the mix is great. Many people consider it their best version!

Nothing More is soooo underrated! But they're getting there, finally 😊❤ They're a genre of their own. Love how Alan Watts is woven into the fabric of their work. They slap, slam, hit you, heal you, provoke and shelter you. Musical true love all the way. ❤

8:25 It's funny you mention Kellin because he actually auditioned for DGD before making Sleeping with Sirens. There's a demo you can find online if him singing over "uneasy hearts weigh the most" and I think it sounds pretty good, but overall Kurt was a better fit imo.

I'm glad I put off the singles released after the announcement of the album (I listened to Hell, Brag and Loud). Made the experience of listening to the album more fun. I still like Slow Bloom more I think, but some of the songs on this one are sick. Very fun break from music I usually listen to.

RUNTY, please react to the Parallax II album. It is mine, and many other BTBAM fans favorites. You're spot on about the consistent sound and the transitions. One thing I'm not sure you mentioned yet (its hard to find it on first listens), are all of the musical motifs and themes returning in songs and later in albums even. Parallax II has the best examples of that 👍

This band just picked up where KSE left off when Howard Jones left the band. I swear it's like they are KSE 2.0 (Howard Jones era). And none of this is meant in a bad way. I don't think the band is trying to emulate them, it just comes natural. The vocals, the guitar playing, to even the lyrics being almost always positive and giving a good message. Either way I love their music and hope they can keep dishing out bangers.

I really like this album BUT the nostalgia and overall feel of Divination probably won’t ever be beaten. It has some of the most crushing breakdowns and best choruses of the 2010s Also the singers mother is a tarot card reader, divination and this I believe are based around them. 26:42 halo reference Also also they went heavier cause their clean singer left

People always complaining about playback with this band is kinda sad tbh 1: It adds to the size of the performance, and the space of the vocals 2: Crowd interaction 3: Its quieter than the vocalists mic, and is slightly EQ'd different so its not like the vocalist is using it to lip sync or anything like that 4: He has no backing singers, singing this song live is fucking hard. Believe me I've tried Have I made enough points for people to stfu yet? It sounds amazing live. Thats the end of it

Nah for me. This album is not the best in my opinion, in fact, this is the beginning of the decline of the band Underoath, but they still make good quality songs even though not like their previous albums. TCOT and Cries of the Past are still my favorite albums by Underoath.
