If the flash hider die need to be indexed there’s no need for a crush washer. It’s just a squishy washer so u can make it turn to a specific spot no other need

I would strongly advise anyone modifying something as finicky as a 22 semi auto to change one part at a time. Shoot, take notes, and then install the next part.

First of all great video, watching your tear down has made me realize this gun is not for me. Not knocking the gun, I would still recommend it to anybody trying to figure out what handguns are for them. I just know I'm not going to want the headache of that tear down. Need more videos that are this detailed for different guns so people can do proper research on guns they wish to purchase.

at 4:40-4:45 when you unload the firearm and say "done", what was the round ejected into you from? was that a failure to load?

Where did you get the new hardened extractor?

While you may have had all the correct components in place doing this job, you certainly didn't shim the slide correctly. The slide should never tilt in the direction of force applied because it can ruin the sight or the dovetail for the sight and even the tool. Had you have installed a shim between the side of the tool and the slide depression it would have helped maintain the slide in a true horizontal position. Most likely you would not have run out of threads if the slide had remained horizontal. You lucked out on this one as there is a lot of force being applied to the slide and slide rails and it is not unusual for them to crack or bend when the slide is torqued over like yours is.
