Congratulations. Do you happen to know where they are made? Is it Taiwan or mainland China? I know that a lot of the tools that Autozone, Home Depot, Lowes, and sometimes even Harbor Freight, come from the same manufacturers. The ratchets look like they are from "E_Dong" which is a Taiwanese company that makes similar ones for Home Depot under their Husky ljne.

Nice car! I'm near Minneapolis, and seeing vehicles like this one make me almost want to cry. The rust on vehicles around here are the worst in the country. Plus since the 2009 crash, so many people around here want top dollar for their vehicle. Best of luck to you on the car!

Yeap, I charge $175 to go look at it. It helps screen out broke people. The problem is people who have money drive new cars and take their car to the dealership no matter what. So the customers you want are the average working joe with maybe 2 or 3 cars and not new models. Insurance is sky high these days. Around $110 per month for liability on an old truck that you may not drive 10,000 miles per year. It's ridiculous and people are getting rid of those extra older cars. You've got to be competitive though. You can be the cheapest shop in town and go out of business because you won't take in enough money to survive. You can't work a $16 job and pay the HVAC man to fix your home A/c at a $1000 per hour and $200 per lb for refrigerant. You ain't gone survive for long.

Trust me, empty gas tanks & auto mechanics work go hand in hand. It's like they have " let me use up all this gas & take it in empty ' attitude . It's rich, poor, it's everyone. 🤷 * Our solution was not putting just enough to test drive , but we filled her up & you got the bill with the BILL . It worked like a charm . Except on a cpl of instances , "where you charged me a full tank but it's not full " 😳 🤦

Friend got a great deal on a house boat....it wouldnt start..friend had several certified boat mechanics out to fix it and after several thousand dollars and many parts replaced it still wouldnt start...so he calls me which i had never set foot on a house boat before much less work on one....i got there and started some basic diagnostics with just my sight. Took 15 minutes to find the problem. Fixed it and it started right up. Friend was pissed( at the other mechanics). Cost literally $0 to fix....the battery ground was connected to the sheet metal of the boat...there was not a single ground wire to the engine. And from that i spent over an hour fixing a whole host of other wiring issues in the engine compartment which fixed everything else on the boat that wasnt working. You can still be certified and still be an incompetent idiot. Not just with car mechanics ....boats, semi trucks, farm equipment, electricians , hvac etc. I am a toolmaker. Never a certified mechanic but i worked on everything from steam engines to the space shuttle. I had many people come to me after having certified mechanics not able to fix something or not fix it like it should have been. Schooling and tests do not make you good at problem solving ...that is something you can only learn to be good at with a great deal of experience.

@@LANSINGMOBILEMECHANIC That's why every mechanic should diagnose it themselves I'm old school the same values don't apply in the automobiles they build today when I was working on cars, if they had fue and l spark they should run. them days are long gone. I was a hydraulic and pneumechanic mechanic for 38-years, But the pneumatic tools are almost a thing of the past, With all the electric brushless power tools. Mechanics that are still in school being taught they really need to get some courses on electric and hybrid cars that's the future. As soon as they figure out the power grid to charge all the cars and trucks. You have a Good night I wish you well with your KZfaq channel 💯
