Absolutely beautiful replica (I assume it is a replica). One of my favorite between the wars fighters together with the Fury, Siskin and Flycatcher!

Thanks for the comment. Yes it is a replica. Sadly there are no flyable Bulldogs in existence. There are two left in the world, one at Hendon, G.B., and one in Finland. I like your comment about the Flycatcher. That is one difficult aeroplane to find information about!

@@edstoro3883 I believe John Fairey built a replica and it was flying in the UK when I lived there in the 80s. He must have had access to the original drawings.

I just looked it up and his aircraft (replica) ended up at the Fleet Air Arm museum. Question is, where or who had the drawings? Did Doug Bianchi build the replica?

@@Capital194 Sorry to say, but, I have pursued that avenue to no avail. The PRO and FAA museum have no drawings. Rats!!

@@edstoro3883 Ah okay. Well all I can think of is his daughter (do not know her name). His three sons have died as has his wife. Hope those drawings did not go to the city dump! If you ever discover them I hope you build a Flycatcher! Mike.

I’ve followed this project for a long time and it’s fantastic to see footage like this! Where does Ed base her? I’m visiting Oregon from New Zealand in September and would love to say hi if possible!

No worries. The Bulldog is based at Tillamook, OR. A 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive west of Portland. I may fly the Bulldog to the Hood River flyin Sep. (I think it is the third weekend of Sep)
