I love this song but it sounds much better on the CD in higher fidelity. Unfortunately KZfaq compression dulls it down. Such is the price we pay to stream.

I heard this song when I was 4 or 5. I still love it. They made incredible music in this synthesized era. The entire album is great, soaring through a dream for sure.

Probably the best tune of the "Synclavier" period... Saw the Al Di Meola project on that tour and this was a highlight; Al playing a PRS with a synth pickup and halfway through swapping to a Guild X-500 jazz body...then back again ! Great timbres he had for his performances, including a sample of Airto Moreira's voice. Made it sound really cool...

Al Di Meola song of the day: Maraba. This was written and recorded during a period when Di Meola experimented with the synclavier and also with using vocals as an adjunct to his music to convey a desired mood. Of course, all vocals convey a mood but the way DiMeola uses them here works especially well in my view. Listen to this and be carried away in the dreamscape Di Meola creates here. Incidentally, Maraba is a Brazilian island. Enjoy!
