Hello Hampshire fd, I was wondering how come the uk firefighters don’t have the type of gear that firefighters in America do? Also even though I’m 12 should I still Pursue my dream of firefighting. Would be great for a response Thanks.

I know people may think it's funny to dial 999, but it's only there for emergencies, on going crimes and for public safety concerns. It's not funny to waste police, fire or ambulance time, because someone could really need their help. If it was you, you wouldn't find it funny if you could not get through!!!!

the way rural greenland is disappearing for houses there will be no need for these appliances the biggest downside I see is that they carry only 5 fire fighters which means 1 crew less for a serious incident unlike before covid a basic crew was 6 fire fighters welcome todays modern fire fighting in a noddy fire appliance, A lot of fire fighters at the station where I was fire fighting don't like these new appliances as our station goes over the border to West Berkshire

@@staffsemergresp Not heard much good about them, the main issues seem to be electronics, don't get me wrong they look far better than most other appliances but these are emergency service vehicles that need reliability. I know a few years back they used electronic scales to show how much water was in the tank, but they proved to be unreliable and were replaced by a tube and a ping pong ball it!

It looks like two incomplete separate film segments have been spliced together. First is the 'for show' planned turnout of the single engine to what looks like a deliberate fire of straw and petrol (note they get a foam making branch out) in the yard of farm buildings, with higher quality footage (probably from tripod mounted static cameras) then it switches suddenly to a 'real' job in a cottage on the side of the road with multiple stations turned out, other services present and grainier footage from a more hand held (such as there was then) camera. Still far better to have found part of the footage than it be lost forever! You can see why they dumped the bells for two tone air horns soon after!
